Job summary

GenScript USA Inc./ProBio Inc. is seeking an experienced Procurement professional in the United States to lead material, CAPEX and service procurement. You will drive cost reductions, manage supplier relationships, and ensure contractual compliance across cross-functional teams.

The role reports to the Procurement Manager and requires collaboration with production and other departments. Strong negotiation, KPI, and ERP/SAP proficiency are essential to optimize terms, quality, and delivery.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as Buyer/ Lead Buyer.
• Knowledge of industry bidding procedures and criteria.
• Strong communication, influencing, collaboration skills.
• Strong contract management and negotiations skills.
• Strong Project and change management capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skill with ability to present sophisticated information in Excel, PowerPoint and SAP.
• Ability to improve working efficiency through KPI programs.
• Excellent computer skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and familiarity with ERP/SAP system.
• Experience with multi-cultural teams.
• Self-motivated over achiever.

About The Job

The position will report to the Procurement Manager and requires close collaboration with production teams and cross-functional departments is essential to address procurement needs, while maintaining communication with vendors to manage risks and opportunities. The role also includes managing compliance, audits, and providing necessary documentation.

• Comply with global procurement standard operating procedures, policies and file systems.
• Review supplier performance against contracted obligations, service levels and business requirements.
• Maintain material code and other configurations in ERP/SAP, S2P programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• GMP Pharma/ Biopharma purchasing experience required.
• Experience with contract development and execution.
• Data & cost-driven decision maker.
• Ability to mentor younger buyers/ planners.

The estimated pay range for the role is between $90,000 - $110,000 depending on experience and skill set.
