Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS in Cartersville, GA is seeking a Sr. Process Engineer (Ingot) to provide direction and support to shift and day Process Technicians. You will apply continuous improvement methods to enhance plant operations and align with OE, JE, safety, and quality goals.

The role focuses on developing methods for sampling, testing, and evaluation, leading process improvements, and training staff in Six Sigma/Lean methodologies. Strong collaboration with EHS and cross-functional teams is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, materials, electrical, chemical or related).
• 5+ years of process engineering experience.
• Experience in industrial engineering environments (semiconductor, solar, etc.).
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement methods for sampling, inspection, testing, and evaluation of products.
• Initiates process improvement projects to increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality and defect analysis.
• Execute all required duties while practicing safe work methods and adhering to all plant safety rules.
• Be the driver in investigating, proposing, procuring, and launching new process and operations improvements by developing metrics and conducting audits.
• Assist in developing technical training plans for process engineering and continuous improvement methodology (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
• Develop troubleshooting guides for maintenance and operations personnel for line use and train them in the plant.
• Actively participate with the EHS team to lead projects that improve worker safety and minimize incident risk.
• Function as a change agent and drive cross-functional change between safety, manufacturing, and quality resources.
• Develop engineering documentation: PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, etc.
• Develop and maintain regular reports to track progress and drive action on plant improvements.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS.

Requiredqualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, material, electrical, chemical, and other engineering
• 5+ years of process engineering experience
• Relevant experience within an industrial engineering environment (semiconductor, solar, etc.)
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
• Proficiencyin Engineering tools (CAD, Statics, Minitab, etc.)

Physical Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday
• Ability tolift upto 50 pounds without restriction
• Ability to reach, push, pull, or lift asrequiredwithin limits set by Q Cells
• Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time
