Job summary

Dexcom seeks a seasoned engineer to lead cross-functional teams in structured problem solving and data analysis, addressing root causes in CGM manufacturing. You will work hands-on with equipment ranging from manual to automated systems to improve product quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

You will validate equipment and processes (IQ/OQ/PQ) to meet regulatory and business requirements, collaborating with Regulatory, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Process Engineering to deliver the best

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or higher) is typically required.
  • 5–8 years related experience, or Master’s +2–5 years, or PhD +2–4 years of experience.
  • Travel 5–15% will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams in structured problem solving and data analysis to root cause problems.
  • Hands-on with equipment from manual to automated manufacturing to investigate issues.
  • Design improvements for equipment and processes to improve quality, productivity, and reduce costs.
  • Perform IQ/OQ/PQ validation to ensure equipment meets specs and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory, QA, R&D, and Process Engineering to improve patient experience.
  • Write instructions and train technicians on best practices and procedures.

Where you come in
  • You will lead cross functional teams in structured problem solving and statistical data analysis to solve problems through root cause understanding
  • Will be hands on with equipment that ranges from manually operated equipment to advanced manufacturing machine automation to investigate and troubleshoot issues
  • You will design improvements for equipment and manufacturing processes that will improve product quality, increase productivity, and reduce costs
  • Perform equipment and process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) to ensure equipment meets specifications, performance, regulatory, and business requirements
  • You will collaborate across groups including Regulatory, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Process Engineering to bring the best possible experience to Dexcom patients
  • Write instructions and provide training and coaching to technicians and operations on best practices, new and existing procedures
  • You will be part of a diverse and multicultural organization that works with a global team that has members from around the world

  • Your experience driving improvement in machine performance, test methods, validation standards and manufacturing processes
  • You use of analytical tools like Structured Problem Solving or DMAIC to drive continuous improvement
  • You have deep knowledge of process characterization, SPC control, DOE, and leading teams.
  • You have a total system perspective to create high performance solutions where mechanical, electrical and software components interact with people
  • Your flexibility in a fast-changing environment and ability to prioritize projects while maintaining timelines
  • You are detail oriented and organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Master’s degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 2-4 years of experience.
