Sr. NPI Process Development Engineer
Join Our Team

We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. NPI Process Development Engineer to play a critical role in bringing innovative products from concept to production. In this position, you will serve as the vital link between R&D and Manufacturing, transforming new designs into scalable manufacturing processes, production documentation, and successful product launches.

This role will focus heavily on subsystem enhancements, including the integration of a battery-operated emergency stop (E-Stop) solution, while supporting multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing readiness initiatives.

If you enjoy solving complex engineering challenges, working cross-functionally, and driving products into production, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do
New Product Introduction & Process Development
  • Partner with R&D, Mechanical Design, and Manufacturing teams to transition new products and design changes into production.
  • Interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings and convert design intent into manufacturable processes.
  • Develop production strategies for new product introductions, engineering changes, and manufacturing transfers.
  • Support manufacturing readiness across a diverse portfolio of NPI programs.
Console & Pivot System Projects
  • Lead manufacturing implementation of console subsystem updates and component enhancements.
  • Support pivot subsystem improvements, including battery integration for emergency stop (E-Stop) functionality.
  • Develop assembly, testing, validation, and production processes for new configurations.
  • Ensure robust production solutions for complex electromechanical assemblies.
Manufacturing Readiness & Industrialization
  • Create detailed manufacturing work instructions, process documentation, and technical procedures.
  • Define tooling, fixtures, and production equipment requirements.
  • Support pilot builds, process validation activities, and production launches.
  • Drive effective product transfers from development into full-scale manufacturing.
Continuous Improvement & Scale-Up
  • Contribute to strategic growth initiatives, including:
    • Multiple annual NPI programs
    • New product launches
    • Product upgrade and retrofit initiatives
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives to support operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working with complex electromechanical products and assemblies.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production documentation.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Lean Manufacturing principles
    • Six Sigma methodologies
    • Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • Tooling and fixture development
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical device manufacturing experience.
  • Capital equipment manufacturing experience.
  • Experience supporting products through NPI, validation, and production transfer phases.
  • Proven collaboration with R&D and product development teams.
  • Experience operating in regulated manufacturing environments.
What Success Looks Like

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who can:

  • Understand and translate R&D design intent into scalable manufacturing solutions.
  • Build robust processes and documentation that support efficient production.
  • Lead manufacturing readiness efforts for new products and engineering changes.
  • Drive successful industrialization of complex console and pivot subsystem technologies.
  • Partner effectively across engineering, operations, and quality teams to deliver high-quality products to market.
