The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a Senior Principal Computer Systems Analyst (Windows and VMWare Sys Admin) to support information system lifecycle activities for the CIDO. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our Linthicum, MD location.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Perform as a Senior Computer Systems Analyst in support of classified government contracts
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal or external customers, in written and oral format.
  • Establishes and maintains high levels of customer satisfaction according to defined objectives while adhering to established policies.
  • Report task statuses as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts in written and oral format.
  • Oversee and lead the reliable operations of multi-user computer systems working with system engineers, PC desktop technicians, networking engineers, project managers, end users, and IT/Cyber management.
  • Analyze and make recommendations to internal or external customer requirements and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems.
  • Recommend and implement system enhancements, to include automation, that will improve the performance of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
  • Ensure compliant and reliable backup and recovery services; manage file systems and disk space; manage virus protection on a routine basis.
  • Test and oversee new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
  • Lead the development and documentation of technical processes and procedures.
  • Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors; evaluate vendor products, services and suggestions.
  • Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases and report security relevant statuses accordingly.
  • Ensure accurate security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
  • Work across disciplines to isolate issues between software, firmware, and hardware, between software and operating systems, between networks and applications, and between one-time events and recurrent systematic problems.
  • Mentorship of junior professionals to grow and develop technical talent
  • Lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work after hours, and weekends, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
  • PhD with 4 years of relevant IT experience; OR a Master's Degree with 6 years of relevant IT experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of relevant IT experience; OR a Associates Degree with 10 years of relevant IT experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent) with 12 years of relevant IT experience is required
  • Must have experience with designing and maintaining Windows domain architectures, including but not limited to Active Directory, GPOs, Policies, and permissions in a classified environment
  • Experience with VMWare implementation, migration and maintenance is
