Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Integration & Test Engineer for the Rolling Meadows, IL site to lead integration test programs and evaluate complex electronic systems from hardware and software design through aircraft installation.

The role requires a BS/BA in engineering with 8+ years (or MS 6+; PhD 4+) and demonstrates leadership across disciplines. On-site work is expected, and a Secret clearance is required before start.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical degree with 8+ years of related experience or MS degree with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.
  • Experience performing Design Verification Tests, Environmental Qualification Testing, and EMI Qualification Testing.
  • Experience documenting, testing, and troubleshooting integrated hardware/software/firmware for production systems.
  • Working knowledge of DOORS and Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRMs).
  • Ability and willingness to travel; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead integration test programs and evaluate complex electronics systems from hardware/software design through aircraft installation to ensure systems work.
  • Generate test plans, procedures, automation, reports, and execute integration test activities in system integration labs or offsite locations.
  • Work within the Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) team to understand the systems engineering process across a product's lifecycle.
  • Contribute to MBSE concepts and tools usage (Cameo) and related modeling activities.
  • Present technical results to stakeholders and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
