Job summary

Northrop Grumman in San Diego, CA, is hiring a Level 4 Sr. Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist for the F-35 CNI Production team. You will develop supply chain strategies, manage suppliers, assess shortages, and forecast material costs in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

The role requires a strong background in SCM, EVMS, and program management, with collaboration across program managers, contracts, operations, and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with at least 6 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Program/Project Management, Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• US Citizenship.
• Ability to obtain a Government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop supply chain strategy and lead activities for GSC in all phases of planning and execution.
• Manage suppliers on cost, schedule, quality, and performance.
• Assess material shortages, flag time-critical purchases, and drive acceleration.
• Manage, report, and forecast material cost/performance of assigned program(s).
• Maintain delivery performance metrics and budgets for contract requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functionally and enable integration across all GSC functions.
• Align scope/deliverables with customer requirements and work with technical teams.
• Brief leaders on status, risks, opportunities, and issues affecting program performance.

What you'll get to do:

• Align project scope and deliverables with customer requirements and works closely with the technical community

• Brief the GSCPM, Program Management, and Operations on the status, Risk & Opportunities, and issues affecting GSC program performance

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with at least 6 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Program/Project Management, Engineering, Business Management, or related field

• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems

• US Citizenship

• Ability to obtain a Government clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cost, schedule, variance reporting

• Knowledge/experience in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)

• Control Account Manager (CAM) experience and certification

• Experience with Federal and Defense Contracting requirements including FAR/DFARS

• Experience with Supply Chain metrics, and driving performance to targets

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
