The Cboe FX and U.S. Treasuries Low Latency Engineering team is hiring a Senior Principal Software Engineer. This position entails building and maintaining reliable high-performance software applications that are part of the Cboe FX trading platform. This role must apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, mathematical analysis and problem solving. The Senior Principal Software Engineer will help set technical direction, mentor other engineers, and lead architecture decisions for the platform. This person will also serve as the primary escalation point for operational problems, leading root-cause analysis and driving resolution of critical production issues during on-call periods.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $255,000-$330,000, with actual compensation determined by job-related factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal alignment, and location. This role may also be eligible for annual incentive compensation and, where applicable, participation in Cboe's long-term equity programs.
