Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in PM, Manufacturing Eng, or related field.
  • Master’s degree with 6+ years in PM, Manufacturing Eng, or related field.
  • Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement.
  • Experience liaising between multiple disciplines to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance and SAP.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as Sr. Principal Production Operations based out of Baltimore, MD.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Primary manufacturing liaison to program management for development and execution of the manufacturing strategy
  • Primary product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with internal and external customers to discuss operational aspects of technical, cost, and schedule performance
  • Oversee and manage the product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance activities and serve as primary liaison to program management
  • Assess project and technical issues and develops and drives action plans and resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction goals and objectives
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, engineering, suppliers, line/cell managers, and customers
  • Coordinate and leads the preparation of proposals; prepares and reviews all manufacturing Basis of Estimate justifications, creates master production schedules, and coordinates material planning and production scheduling to include all aspects of producing product through delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunities

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in Project/Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related discipline; Master’s degree with 6 years of work experience in Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related discipline
  • Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement
  • Experience acting as a liaison between multiple disciplines to solve complex problems
  • Experience troubleshooting and developing creative solutions to meet customer demands
  • Experience driving continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunities
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance and SAP (Special Access Programs) is required
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Proposal Preparation, and/or Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Project Management
  • Experience leading people and/or projects directly or indirectly
  • Experience communicating with executive leadership (Director or VP level)
  • Experience in earned value management, proposal preparation, and/or integrated master schedule (IMS) development
  • Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • A current/active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $123,400.00 - $185,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
