Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Logistics Engineer to join the team in Huntsville, AL or Roy, UT. You will perform logistics analysis, author CDRLs, and work with multiple engineering and IPT teams to maintain and improve logistics plans.

This role requires a US Citizenship, an active DoD Top Secret clearance, and strong communication skills. Relocation assistance may be available; standard benefits include medical, 401k, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Science and 8 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years.
• An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Top Secret Clearance in scope.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain SAP approval as required by the company.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Logistics Engineer to join the team located in Huntsville, AL or Roy UT.

What you will get to do:

The successful candidate will:

• Perform logistics analysis and maintenance planning of the system.
• Author CDRLs and plans related to logistics and sustainment.
• Review, analyze, prepare, and modify logistics plans and concepts
• Provide support for modifications, reviews, and updates to any of the above existing lists.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, communications skills, be self-motivated, understand and exhibit a strong teamwork ethic and approach.
• Work closely with other IPT’s (Integrated Product Teams), Design Engineering IPT’s, Configuration Management, and Systems Engineering teams.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a Science and 8 years of experience, 6 years of experience with Master's degree or 4 years of experience with PhD.
• An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Top Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CDRL authoring.
• Experience with developing maintenance concepts, plans, site surveys.
• Experience with government property Aerospace / ICBM maintenance or supply experience
• Experience determining transport and shipment needs
• Experience reviewing supplier deliverables / SDRLs related to logistics for accuracy and complete data
• Background in maintenance and/or maintenance planning

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range:

$92,200.00 - $138,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
