Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Roy, Utah, is seeking a Senior Principal Computer Systems Analyst to support classified government contracts. You will lead multi-person operations across software, hardware, and networks while maintaining security and system integrity.

Responsibilities include guiding engineers and technicians, documenting processes, and ensuring compliant backup, recovery, and logging. Candidates must have TS clearance with relevant certifications or in Continuous Evaluation.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and maintaining Windows domain architectures, including Active Directory, GPOs, policies, and permissions in a classified environment.
• Meet U.S. Government 8140 cybersecurity requirements (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP).
• Must possess a current U.S. Government Top Secret clearance or be enrolled in Continuous Evaluation Program.

• Report task statuses for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.
• Oversee and lead reliable operations of multi-user computer systems with engineers, technicians, and managers.
• Analyze and recommend solutions to internal or external customer requirements.
• Recommend and implement system enhancements, including automation, to improve performance.
• Ensure compliant backup and recovery services; manage file systems and disk space; manage virus protection.
• Test and oversee new releases of products for compatibility.
• Lead development and documentation of technical processes and procedures.
• Interact with vendors, evaluate products and services.
• Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines and report security states.
• Ensure accurate security audit and logging for all classified computers.
• Work across disciplines to isolate issues involving software, firmware, hardware, OS, networks, and applications.
• Mentor junior professionals to grow technical talent.
• Lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Work after hours and weekends as needed.

Basic Qualifications – Level 3

• Master's Degree with 3years of experience; or Bachelor's Degree with 5years; or Associate's Degree with 7years; or High School Diploma with 9years.

Basic Qualifications – Level 4

• Master's Degree with 6years of experience; or Bachelor's Degree with 8years; or Associate's Degree with 10years; or High School Diploma with 12years.

Additional Basic Qualifications

• Experience designing and maintaining Windows domain architectures, including Active Directory, GPOs, policies, and permissions in a classified environment.
• Meet U.S. Government 8140 cybersecurity requirements (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP).
• Possess a current U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with a closed investigation date completed within the last 6years or be enrolled in the U.S. Government Continuous Evaluation Program.
• Have the ability to obtain and maintain access to special access programs as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Security+ CE certification.
• Experience with Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and other services.
• Experience operating systems in NISPOM Chapter8, DCID6/3‑ICD503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG environments.
• Experience with networking (subnets, routing, VLANs, VTCs); Cisco experience and/or certification.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and deploying system images in an enterprise environment.
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware in a networked environment.
• Experience working in virtualized environments.
• Deploy and maintain backup solutions (Cohesity, Vertias, etc.) and SAN storage systems.
• Experience with environmental monitoring tools (HBSS, Solar Winds, Splunk).
• Experience in scripting and automation.
• Cross‑platform operating system awareness (Windows, Linux, Solaris, OSX, UNIX, etc.).
• Experience with Assessment & Authorization processes.

Salary and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400 – $134,200.

Secondary Level Salary Range: $111,700 – $167,500.

Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentives. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, paid holidays, and PTO.
