Job summary

RTX's Applied Signal Technology in Anaheim Hills, CA is seeking a Senior Principal Infrastructure / Networking Engineer who will guide design, development, testing and delivery of high-capacity systems for secure communications.

The role requires TS/SCI with poly, US citizenship, extensive Linux, networking, virtualization, scripting, and experience with enterprise gear; travel up to 25%; onsite with some flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with system development to support multiple programs.
  • Experience with development using Python or similar scripting languages
  • Hands-on experience with Linux, especially Red Hat based distributions
  • Experience with System Administration
  • Experience with enterprise grade networking equipment, such as Cisco, Arista, or Juniper
  • Experience with virtualization technology (KVM, VMWare, Hyper-V)
  • Experience and/or knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP and UDP
  • Experience with configuration management systems (Puppet, Ansible, Salt)
  • Experience designing and setting up networks and data centers
  • Experience verifying and validating the software and system work as intended
  • Experience working both in a team environment and independently
  • Active and transferable Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI) U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a polygraph after start.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
