Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Sr Pricing Analyst to drive price optimization and execution across multiple categories.

You will partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Stores, and IS teams to implement data-driven pricing changes in a hybrid role based at Legacy West in Plano, TX. The role requires strong analytical and mathematical abilities and 3–5 years in pricing or related analytics, with familiarity in Nielsen, Revionics, and PROS.

Qualifications

Essential Function

The Sr Pricing Analyst is responsible for driving the analysis and execution of the Price Optimization. Exceptionally strong analytical and math skills are required, along with a focus on detailed execution of processes. This position will partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Stores and the Information Systems team to drive change management throughout the company. This is a hybrid position reporting into the support center at Legacy West in Plano, TX.

Responsibilities

Price Execution Analysis:

• Utilize internal systems and tools to implement pricing strategies and monitor results, ensuring alignment with business goals. (10%)
• Analyze pricing performance data and ensure pricing accuracy, making data‑driven adjustments as necessary. (10%)
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Ops, and IT to continuously refine and optimize pricing execution based on ongoing analysis. (10%)
• Develop automated reporting tools to track key pricing metrics and ensure timely decision‑making. (10%)

Regular Price Strategy And Analysis:

• Use A/B testing, price elasticity models, and historical data to recommend and implement pricing strategies for various categories and regions. (10%)
• Evaluate the impact of price changes and promotional strategies, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. (10%)
• Analyze competitive pricing data and market conditions, recommending adjustments to stay ahead of industry trends. (10%)
• Provide senior leadership with actionable insights through data visualizations and reports, helping to drive strategic pricing decisions. (10%)

Clearance Price Strategy And Analysis:

• Provide data‑driven recommendations on clearance strategies for items not on POG. (5%)
• Track and report on the effectiveness of clearance strategies, adjusting pricing as needed to maximize margin and reduce excess inventory. (5%)

Strategic Pricing Initiatives:

• Lead and/or support cross‑functional projects, providing data‑driven insights and recommendations to improve pricing processes, tools, and strategies to drive efficiency and enhance pricing capabilities. (10%)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Math, or Finance
• 3‑5 years Business experience
• Retail or consumer products experience is a plus, but complex analytical experience is a priority.
• Strategic Thinker with a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Utilize pricing systems and tools to manage and optimize pricing processes.
• Proven experience with pricing systems and tools (e.g., Nielsen, Revionics, PROS) preferred.
• Prepare regular reports on pricing effectiveness, sales performance, and market trends.
• Lead and partner on initiatives to automate pricing workflows and improve system capabilities.
• Ability to build strong business relationships with key partners.
• Strong skills in selling point of view and persuading other functions to support your program.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Location: Hybrid | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at the Sally Beauty Support Center, Legacy West (Plano, TX); Remote Thursday and Friday.

The typical working environment is in the support center office, and the work is sedentary. The associate may sit comfortably to do the job, though occasional walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, driving to store locations, etc., may occur. The work is not frequent and does not require significant physical demands. Standard safety precautions are observed, including safe work practices with office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations and traffic signals, and maintaining an adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated environment.
