Job summary

Truist is seeking an experienced client sales specialist to deliver a distinctive client experience in-office five days a week. The role supports prospects and clients with financial solutions, combining care and expertise to meet their needs within the Truist ecosystem.

You will engage via phone, chat, or video, conduct financial reviews, and work with teammates to grow deposits and lending offerings. Strong communication, problem solving, and compliance with SAFE and NMLS are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • 4 years of client sales and service experience.
  • Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant with NMLS background check.
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with prospects and clients virtually to assess needs and make recommendations for products and services that align with client needs.
  • Exercises advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and advanced sales functions regarding deposit, credit, and other product and service lines.
  • Supports the Virtual Solutions Delivery Team sales process by conducting consultative conversations and referring more complex client needs to internal partners.
  • Supports ongoing financial education of teammates on Truist offerings via events and presentations.
  • Remains available according to workforce managed schedule to deliver an exceptional client experience for inbound calls.
  • Contacts targeted clients proactively to set up appointments for deeper conversations and financial reviews.
  • Meets annual revenue/profit growth goals including deposits and lending solutions.
  • Participates in Virtual Solutions Delivery CARES routines.
  • Advances sales/product knowledge through training.
  • Adheres to policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

In accordance with Truist in-office expectations, this role will be in office 5 days/week. Center is open Monday- Friday, 8am-6pm EST and Saturday 9-1 EST. Schedule will include a rotating Saturday shift.

This is an experienced individual revenue contributor focused on providing a distinctive client experience anchored in care, expertise, and financial solutions delivery to Truist Teammates, Retirees, and Community Heroes cohorts.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Meet with prospects and clients virtually (phone, chat/messaging, or video) to assess client needs, review their financial management practices and solutions, conduct a caring conversation, and make recommendations for products and services that align with client needs.
  • Exercises advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and advanced sales functions regarding deposit, credit, convenience and other product and service lines.
  • Supports the Virtual Solutions Delivery Team sales process by conducting consultative conversations and acting upon or referring more complex client needs or financial goals to other internal partners (also known as integrated relationship management).
  • Supports the ongoing financial education of teammates (prospects and clients) on unique Truist offerings via new hire events and community heroes' presentations.
  • Remains available according to workforce managed schedule to deliver an exceptional client experience for inbound calls.
  • Contacts targeted clients proactively through outbound client outreach efforts, sharing with clients the impact Truist can have on their financial well‑being and setting up appointments for deeper caring conversations and a complete financial review.
  • Meets individual performance goals of revenue/profit growth matrix on a yearly basis to include delivering on deposit and lending solutions, assisting with client digital empowerment, and supporting client onboarding outreach efforts.
  • Participates fully in all components of the established Virtual Solutions Delivery C.A.R.E.S Routines.
  • Commits to advancing individual knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge to better serve clients by attending sales, service and product knowledge meetings, applicable training classes and web-based learning.
  • Adheres to preset schedule, internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies by staying informed of all changes in policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current guidelines.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • 4 years of client sales and service experience
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office
  • Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment in this role, including new or transfer of registration and applicable NMLS background check which includes meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, credit fitness and criminal background standards. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to respond in a professional manner with a high level of service quality.
  • Experience with discussing, recommending, and selling various deposit, credit, and retirement products to consumer clients.
  • Demonstrated ability in meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures
