Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years accounting experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and accounting best practices.
• Strong proficiency in Excel; ERP system experience (Workday preferred).
• Active CPA license strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review staff accountants’ work for accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure records comply with US GAAP and internal controls.
• Mentor staff accountants with training and feedback.
• Collaborate with Practice Accounting Operations to analyze results and explain variances.

This role is responsible for prepping and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses while ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP. The Senior serves as a subject matter expert within their area and supports cross-functional collaboration with other pods to ensure a cohesive close process.This is a hybrid role in Nashville, TN.Responsibilities:Support month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations within the assigned functional areas (e.g., revenue, assets, opex, liabilities, etc.)Review staff accountants’ work for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.Ensure accounting records and supporting documentation comply with US GAAP and internal controlsServe as a mentor and resource to staff accountants by providing training, feedback, and guidance.Partner with Practice Accounting Operation to analyze results and support variance explanations.Support integration of new physicians, tuck-ins, and service lines, including establishing opening balance sheets, converting practices from cash to accrual basis, and ensuring alignment with OneOncology accounting policies.Support process improvements and automation initiatives to improve efficiency.Additional responsibilities as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.Required or Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (Master’s degree preferred).2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare.Strong knowledge of internal controls and accounting best practices.Strong proficiency in Excel; ERP system experience (Workday preferred).
