Rivian is seeking a skilled embedded software engineer to develop and test real-time software for power electronics and ECUs. You will work across bare metal and RTOS environments, supporting multi‑core controllers and timing‑critical architectures.
Responsibilities include design interfaces, verify operation with hardware and HIL setups, and ensure ISO26262 compliant software. A bachelor’s degree is required, with a master’s preferred and experience with Python scripting for testing.
Our team develops firmware and controls for a diverse array of power conversion systems, encompassing both vehicle and energy products, such as DC fast chargers, residential bidirectional chargers, and onboard power electronics systems. The ideal candidate will support the full software development lifecycle for power electronics and support ECUs, from specification and design to implementation and testing. This will require proficiency in a variety of embedded architectures, from bare metal to RTOS implementations, as well as a deep understanding of modern multi‑core 32‑bit embedded controller peripherals and architecture.
Salary Range for California Based Candidates: $135,100 - $168,900.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
