Kestra Investment Management (KIM) is part of Kestra Holdings, an industry-leading wealth management platform for independent financial professionals nationwide. KIM is a dedicated team of investment professionals focused on providing portfolio solutions to help meet long-term goals of clients. Kestra-affiliated advisors can benefit from KIM’s cost-effective, flexible, and easy-to-use approach while taking advantage of a group of extremely experienced investment experts. KIM’s advisor-focused culture is built on innovation and advocacy, enabling advisors to enhance their investment capabilities for their clients.

Lead with Purpose. Partner with Impact.

The Senior Portfolio Manager is a senior member of the Kestra Investment Management (KIM) team who serves as the primary bridge between the portfolio management team, advisor marketplace, and business development organization. The role is responsible for helping drive adoption of KIM solutions, supporting asset growth initiatives, and strengthening advisor relationships through investment expertise, thought leadership, and consultative engagement.

Working closely with the rest of the portfolio management team and business leaders, this individual will help shape and communicate the firm's investment philosophy, market outlook, portfolio positioning, and model portfolio strategies. The Senior Portfolio Manager will serve as a key external representative of Kestra Investment Management, engaging with advisors, clients, prospects, and the media to deliver market insights and investment perspectives.

Success in this role will be measured not only by the quality of investment insights and advisor engagement, but also by the individual's ability to support advisor acquisition, strengthen advisor relationships, and contribute to the growth of assets under management.

What You’ll Do:
  • Serve as a key member of the investment team, helping formulate, communicate, and advocate for the firm's investment views, portfolio positioning, and model portfolio strategies.
  • Partner with the portfolio management team to support the oversight, maintenance, and evolution of Kestra Investment Management's model portfolio lineup.
  • Participate in investment committee discussions, contributing market insights, economic analysis, advisor feedback, and portfolio recommendations.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers and analysts to develop economic, market, and investment-related content and viewpoints.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.

Advisor Engagement & Client Communication

  • Serve as a trusted investment resource for Kestra Financial and Bluespring advisors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with advisors, helping them better understand market developments, portfolio strategies, and investment solutions.
  • Conduct advisor, client, and prospect meetings designed to deepen relationships, support retention efforts, and drive adoption of Kestra Investment Management solutions.

Business Development & Growth

  • Partner with sales, relationship management, and business development teams to drive growth across Kestra Investment Management's investment offerings.
  • Support advisor acquisition, retention, and wallet-share expansion initiatives through investment expertise and consultative engagement.
  • Help increase adoption of model portfolios and investment solutions through advisor education, portfolio consultations, and investment thought leadership.
  • Serve as a strategic investment resource for the sales organization and contribute to efforts designed to grow assets under management.
  • Partner with advisors to develop customized portfolio recommendations for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, leveraging the firm's investment solutions, portfolio construction expertise, and market insights.
  • Participate in client prospect and relationship meetings alongside advisors, helping articulate investment strategies, address portfolio-related questions, strengthen client confidence, and support new business acquisition and retention efforts.

Thoughtful Leadership & Content Development

  • Contribute to the development of quarterly outlooks, market commentaries, white papers, and investment research publications.
  • Author articles, commentaries, and thought leadership content for advisors, clients, prospects, and industry audiences.
  • Translate investment committee decisions and portfolio changes into advisor-friendly communications.
  • Assist in the development of presentations, educational materials, videos, webinars, and other advisor-facing content.

Public Speaking & Media Engagement

  • Present at advisor conferences, client events, webinars, roadshows, and industry gatherings to strengthen advisor relationships, generate business opportunities, and promote Kestra Investment Management's capabilities.
  • Participate in podcasts, videos, webinars, and other public-facing content initiatives.
  • Provide market commentary and investment insights through media interviews and industry publications.
What You Bring:
  • Undergraduate degree from a four-year accredited college or university required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in investment management, wealth management, institutional consulting, portfolio strategy, market strategy, or related investment disciplines.
  • Series 65 required or willingness to obtain.
  • Deep knowledge of financial markets, economics, portfolio construction, asset allocation, manager selection, and investment vehicles.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across a range of audiences.
  • Strong public speaking and executive presence, with the ability to confidently present to advisors, clients, prospects, and industry audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex investment concepts into compelling and understandable narratives.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to develop trusted partnerships with advisors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity regarding markets, economic trends, and investor behavior.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and contribute to a team-based culture.
  • Demonstrate personal integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Commitment to a culture of professionalism, accountability, client focus, and teamwork.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and investment research platforms.
  • Experience working with independent financial advisors and wealth management platforms strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in asset allocation, portfolio construction, investment strategy, and capital markets.
