Job summary

Vantor in Denver seeks a Senior Platform Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and operate mission-critical software platforms across AWS and on-prem infrastructure.

The ideal candidate blends architecture and hands-on ops, scales cloud and on-prem deployments, and minimizes operational chaos through automation and IaC.

This role requires US citizenship, security clearance eligibility, and in-office collaboration 3–5 days per week in the Denver area.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, or SRE.
  • Experience deploying and operating production workloads in AWS.
  • Experience supporting Linux-based infrastructure and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience deploying and operating physical infrastructure including servers and networking.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Vantor is seeking aSenior Platform Infrastructure Engineerto design, deploy, andoperatemission-critical software platforms across AWS cloud environments and customer-ownedon-premiseinfrastructure. This role combines hands-on infrastructure engineering, deployment automation, platform architecture, and operational support for both commercial and defense customers.

The ideal candidate is both an architect and an operator — someone who can scale cloud and on-prem deployment platforms while building the engineering rigor, automation, and accountability needed to reduce operational chaos and improve delivery reliability.

Success in this role requires equal comfort designing infrastructure architectures, automating deployments, troubleshooting production systems, and supporting customer-facing deployment activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
  • Experience deploying and operating production workloads in AWS
  • Experience supporting Linux-based infrastructure
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
  • Experience building andmaintainingCI/CD pipelines
  • Experience deploying andoperatingphysical infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills
  • U.S. Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting defense, aerospace, intelligence, or mission-critical operational systems
  • Experience with sovereign cloud, disconnected operations, or customer-managed deployments
  • Experience implementing AI-assisted DevOps, AIOps, or autonomous operational tooling
  • Experience defining centralized vs distributed platform engineering operating models
  • Familiarity with geospatial intelligence, satellite operations, or mission planning systems
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust and modernDevSecOpspractices
  • Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Pay Transparency:

Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate’s experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.

  • The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $128,000.00 - $170,000.00 - $187,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
