Job summary

Gulf Companies is seeking a Senior Designer – Pipeline/Mapping to perform detail design activities within the Pipeline/Mapping discipline in Houston, TX. The role focuses on creating and reviewing alignment sheets, property plats and permit drawings using CAD tools.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of drafting with Pipeline/Mapping deliverables, strong CAD skills in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and knowledge of industry standards and mapping data sources including USGS and NOAA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a drafting environment for Pipeline/Mapping drafting deliverables.
• 5 years of CAD experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2016 and Civil 3D.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.
• Working knowledge of survey data and aerial photography/imagery.
• Working knowledge of public domain mapping from federal, state and local agencies such as USGS, USDA, NOAA and DOT.
• MicroStation V8 a plus.
• Blue Sky Skyline.
• ARGIS data and map creation.
• Microsoft Access.

Position Description

The Senior Designer – Pipeline/Mapping will be responsible performing detail design activities within the Pipeline/Mapping discipline.

• 5 or more years of experience in a drafting environment developing Pipeline/Mapping drafting deliverables
