Job summary

human resources me is seeking a Performance Test Engineer to design and implement scalable load tests using JMeter. You will convert existing scripts from Load Runner and work with business owners to model production workloads.

You will act as the performance expert on critical projects, monitor APM tools, analyze metrics, and report bottlenecks with actionable recommendations. Flex hours may be required for different time zones.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and executing performance tests for web applications.
• Strong scripting in http/html and Java-based tooling for load testing.
• Experience with JVM tuning, memory profiling, and bottleneck analysis.

Job Specifications

• Solid scripting in http/html web, Java and web services protocols of Jmeter and Strong beanshell programming expertise with Jmeter.
• Jenkins, Maven, and Jmeter and CI experience is a must.
• Strong programming skills Beanshell.
• Ability to setup complex test scenarios to model production workloads.
• Experience with test planning, strategy, test script development and test execution.
• Very strong Linux Skills.
• Strong understanding of all parameters which influence performance of the application like JVM, heap, memory, cache, threads, db pools etc.
• Ability to monitor JVMs, analyze heap dumps, analyze queries, analyze logs and memory profiling.
• Ability to monitor and collect result data, analyze and pinpoint bottlenecks and guide developers in fixing performance issues.
• Good Knowledge of AWS systems, Cloud watch, Load Balancers in AWS.
• Performance tuning skills for Web Sphere / Web Sphere commerce server.
• Understanding of web/app/db layers, thread contention, network infrastructure.
• Experience diagnosing and debugging performance bottlenecks by interpreting test results and analyzing metrics gathered using tools.
• Database knowledge, indexes, and SQL optimization techniques.
• Diagnostic Tools like New Relic or App Dynamics is needed.
• Plan, design, execute and maintain different types of performance tests like load, stress, endurance, spike, capacity etc.
• Develop performance test plans based on discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Good team player with the ability to handle multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• A wide degree of creativity, latitude and multi-tasking is expected.
• Ability to work weekends based on Project Demands and based on short notification in a fast-paced environment.
