SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Sr. Payroll Analyst to join our finance team. The role focuses on full-cycle payroll processing, delivering accurate, timely pay across our global operations.

You will work independently, handle high-volume data, ensure compliance, and act as SME for payroll processes, including stock-related payroll, while collaborating with cross-functional partners to support a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This position is onsite in Hawthorne.

• Provide prompt, friendly, and efficient payroll support to employees.
• Manage weekly, bi-weekly, and global payroll processing for the entire company and ensure timely delivery.
• Assist the manager with day-to-day task planning and special projects as needed.
• Develop, maintain, and manage updates to multiple databases, spreadsheets, reports, etc.
• Become the subject matter expert for one or more payroll areas.

SR.PAYROLL ANALYST

The Sr. Payroll Analyst plays a vital role in our finance team, bringing strong operational experience in full-cycle payroll processing. We're seeking a candidate who excels at multitasking, prioritizing tasks, showing accountability, and exercising sound judgment, while working independently to meet demanding deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work independently to provide prompt, friendly, and efficient customer service to employees who have questions regarding their pay, deductions, or the payroll process
• Manage multiple parts of the weekly, bi-weekly, and global payroll processing for the entire company and ensure that each is delivered on time
• Assist the manager or supervisor with day-to-day task planning and special projects as needed
• Develop, maintain, and manage frequent updates to multiple databases, spreadsheets, reports, etc.
• Become the subject matter expert for one or more areas related to the company payroll process

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4+ years of professional experience in payroll
• Experience with UKG and Workday products/services

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with basic enterprise level payroll
• Experience processing payroll for a large company, operating in multiple locations and states
• General understanding of multi-state taxation
• Demonstrated history of growth and increasing responsibility in current and previous roles
• Experience with payroll processing related to stock transactions
• Ability to analyze high volume of transactions and data
• Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Willingness to work long hours and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines
• This position is based in Hawthorne, CA, and requires being onsite - remote/hybrid will not be considered

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range:
Level 3: $120,000.00 - $175,000.00

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
