SENIOR ORACLE HCM DEVELOPER - REMOTE

ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Oracle Developer with strong experience working with the HCM module. This position is 100% remote working eastern time zone business hours. It is a contract position running through August 2025 with strong potential to extend longer or convert to FTE. Job Description:

As an Oracle PL/SQL Developer, you will be a key member of the Database Group responsible for providing overall database support with concentration in back-end programming. The PL/SQL Developer will be responsible to properly maintain source code sets and necessary technical documentation and assist the DBAs in overall database maintenance. In this role, you'll leverage your knowledge of Oracle database development and be instrumental in the successful implementation of our browser-based, enterprise software product.

Responsibilities
  • Be a key member of the Database Group responsible for overall database support with emphasis on back-end programming.
  • Maintain source code sets and necessary technical documentation; assist DBAs in database maintenance.
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of browser-based, enterprise software product using Oracle database development.
Qualifications
  • Must possess expert programming and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must possess expert performance tuning skills and dynamic SQL skills.
  • Must be willing to jump into anyone’s code at any time to solve the problem.
  • Must be able to reverse engineer anyone else’s code and modify it to solve the problem more efficiently.
  • Experience with Oracle Version 10g, 11g, 12c.
  • Strong experience with Oracle functions, procedures, triggers, packages & performance tuning.
  • Ensure that database programs are in compliance with V3 standards.
  • Performance tune SQLs, application programs and instances.
  • Experience mentoring or leading other development staff.
  • Proven leadership abilities including knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness and appropriate assertiveness.
  • 24x7 production support experience supporting a large-scale environment.
  • Experience with complex indexing strategies including column store indexing.
Required Work Experience
  • 5+ years related work experience, with professional experience in technical design and coding in the IT industry.
  • Musts:
    • Oracle HCM Cloud experience working HCM Extracts, BIP Reports, OTBI, Fast Formulas, Value Sets, OIC.
    • Automated testing experience - Selenium (or similar).
    • Functional knowledge with Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, Talent Management, Absence Management.
    • Experience with data conversion from other HCM systems to Oracle HCM Cloud.
Required Education
  • Related Bachelor’s degree or related work experience.
