Job description

This position is responsible for being a technical resource for Customers, Technicians, and other support departments (Ops, Sales, etc.). Position will be available to answer technical questions for Customers, and/or provides training and technical support for Technicians.

Position will be responsible for project management for projects as assigned by the Service Branch Manager or GM and complete other projects as assigned.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain a basic training program that encompasses training on safety, regulatory guidelines, and the standards for Technicians. Mentors and coaches Techs as needed.
  • Schedules and coordinates training for identified Technicians. Provides the proper follow-up.
  • Review training status and skill status of employees and communicate with local leadership.
  • Visits sites to evaluate techniques used for safety, regulatory, and Service practices as directed. Provides OTJ as appropriate and provides a score card for site visit.
  • Able to travel with little notice as needed.
  • Responsible for running projects as a PM when assigned and completing Customer and Company required procedures. Provides technical scopes of work for Project Managers as needed.
  • Monitor, advise and oversee all Equipment, including but not limited to Test equipment, Trucks, Trailers, Tools for SC team.
  • Responsible for the calibration of all equipment as assigned.
  • Review, create and update work procedures, best practices, SOPs for location as directed.
  • Participate in Customer meetings as the technical expert for future, current and past jobs.
  • Assist Technicians with technical job scopes, going through procedures or methods for technically performing the scope of work prior to the job, so crews are set up for job success.
  • Maintain variety of programs such as PPE, DOT, equipment, and other programs as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and 8 years of experience.
  • Related field work in industry.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and desire to learn.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Passion for learning and teaching others. Customer Focus.
  • Proven experience in building training programs from the ground up.
  • Intermediate skill level with PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with both... technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Must be able to adjust to changes in workflow, prioritize as needed, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated strong sense of urgency and ownership of process.
  • Must demonstrate a team player mindset.

Job: Full-Time

Location: Charleston, SC

Compensation: $125,000 to $150,000 USD

Travel: up to 50% travel.

Relocation: Relocation offered for highly qualified candidates.
