Job summary

NetApp is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead end-to-end upstream initiatives in Apache Cassandra. You will drive CEP authoring, design consensus, and release management, translating enterprise needs into community proposals and mentoring peers toward committer status.

The role demands deep Cassandra internals knowledge, expert Java skills, and a track record in large-scale distributed systems. You will influence architecture decisions and contribute to governance of open-source initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 12 years of software engineering experience and current Apache Cassandra committer status.
• Must possess expert Java skills and deep mastery of Cassandra internals such as storage, indexing, or distributed repair.
