Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a data-focused OM specialist to manage end-to-end organizational data for global initiatives. You will ensure accuracy and consistency of the organizational hierarchy, design reports, and lead global data standards initiatives within the HR Systems Operations Team.

You will collaborate with regional and global partners to implement data changes, build OM catalogs, and support large-scale organizational designs across locations, including acquisitions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Finance or HR.
  • 3–5 years experience in data management in a multinational company with experience of high-volume data processing for multiple countries
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and regular communication with regional and global partners including the ability to influence others to ensure data accuracy efforts are a priority
  • Ability to apply logic and explain recommended changes/corrections to data to audiences less versed in OM processes
  • Ability to taking Initiative with a proactive mindset to prevent future data related issues
  • Tenacity to keep data root cause analysis, process improvements & cleansing efforts moving forward

Responsibilities

  • Builds data validation/monitoring reports to proactively identify OM related errors/inconsistencies within SFEC & SAP HCM.
  • Engages with location HR to confirm the accuracy of recommended corrective action and keep OM attributes up to date.
  • Completes mass updates for OM cleanup.
  • Designs large-scale organizational changes with business leaders, including creation of new departments & positions and proper attribute assignments.
  • Creates OM builds in EC & SAP for new locations (acquisitions, new startups).
  • Create & maintain global job catalog; ensure consistency in job-related data within Pay Factors system.
  • Validate assignment of EEOC job categories for regulatory reporting.
  • Assist lower-level Analyst with “Manage Pending Hire” process & creating new foundational objects during high-volume hiring.
  • Serve as a backup for OM content type replication failures and assist with complex OM troubleshooting to resolve errors.

Job description

This position is responsible for the execution of end-to-end organizational management (OM) of related data initiatives, including ensuring the accuracy and data consistency for the overall global organizational hierarchy. Designs reports to proactively monitor OM data fields & takes corrective action necessary to resolve OM related issues. This role will lead the establishment of OM related global data standards and process improvements. As a part of the HR Systems Operations Team, serves as a subject matter expert of SFEC & SAP HCM OM data management and provides support to the business on large scale organizational design.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Builds data validation/monitoring reports to proactively identify OM related errors/inconsistencies within SFEC & SAP HCM. This includes engaging with location HR to confirm the accuracy of the recommended corrective action as well as ensure all OM attributes are up to date and accurate. Completes mass updates for OM cleanup.
  • Works with business leaders & location HR on the design of large-scale organizational changes, including creation of new departments & positions ensuring appropriate assignment of attributes such as supervisor, grade, cost center, job & job attributes, function, group & subgroup. Creates OM build in EC & SAP for new locations (acquisitions, new startups, etc…).
  • Create & maintain global job catalog. Works with Comp to ensure consistency in job related data within our Pay Factors system. Validates assignment of EEOC job categories for regulatory reporting.
  • Assist lower-level Analyst with “Manage Pending Hire” process & creating new foundational objects during times of high volume hiring.
  • Serves as a backup for OM content type replication failures and assists with analysis of complex OM related troubleshooting to resolves errors preventing replication and prevent future errors from recurring.
  • Assists with special projects including configuration testing, integrations & data mapping, & adhoc report requests.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business, Finance or HR.
  • 3 - 5 years experience in data management in a multinational company with experience of high-volume data processing for multiple countries
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and regular communication with regional and global partners including the ability to influence others to ensure data accuracy efforts are a priority
  • Ability to apply logic and explain recommended changes/corrections to data to audiences less versed in OM processes
  • Ability to taking Initiative with a proactive mindset to prevent future data related issues
  • Tenacity to keep data root cause analysis, process improvements & cleansing efforts moving forward

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of OM related data management processes and data replication
  • Ability to use Tableau or related analytical software to deliver insights to the business
  • Ability to create complex reports in HRIS systems
