Job summary

Ledgent Technology seeks a Senior Network Engineer to join the Infrastructure team supporting multiple enterprise campuses in the Los Angeles area. You will design, deploy, and optimize enterprise networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.

The candidate will bring deep hands-on networking expertise, strong communication, and the ability to partner with employees at all levels, from executives to end users, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Layer 2/3 switching, routing, and firewall administration.
• Experience across multiple locations and enterprise wireless networks.
• Strong understanding of network security best practices.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with executives and end users.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure across multiple campuses and remote sites.
• Configure and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching environments.
• Administer and optimize Fortinet FortiGate firewall platforms.
• Design, implement, and support enterprise wireless networks.
• Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability and address issues proactively.
• Perform network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure refreshes.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams for reliable connectivity.
• Provide guidance during incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Work with executives, technical teams, and end users across the organization.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Network Engineersupporting enterprise-level networking environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Layer 2 and Layer 3 switch deployment and administration
  • Enterprise routing and switching
  • Fortinet/FortiGate firewall administration, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Enterprise wireless networking technologies
• Experience implementing, upgrading, and supporting network infrastructure across multiple locations.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
• Strong understanding of network security best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders ranging from senior executives to end users.
• Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification.
• Fortinet certifications.
• HPE networking certifications.
• Experience supporting large campus or multi-site enterprise environments.
• Experience within entertainment, startup, government, or other enterprise organizations.
