Job summary

MANTECH International Corporation seeks a Senior Network Engineer to join our Laurel, MD team, supporting enterprise infrastructure for a global workforce. You will work with customers, IPTs, and vendors to implement and secure advanced EIT capabilities in Data Center & Compute Services.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining datacenter networks, HDI solutions, and virtualization/storage environments using VMware and NetApp, while meeting security mandates and STIG/Security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years or associate’s degree with 15 years of network experience.
• IAM II certification (DoD 8140) required on start; CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP accepted.
• Working knowledge of VMware, NetApp, and Firewalls/Switches.
• Working knowledge of Linux, Windows and Mac OSX.
• Experience with Bash, PowerShell, PowerCLI or API scripting language.
• Familiar with STE/STN requirements to meet STIG/Security mandates and Nessus Security Center.

• Evaluate and design an updated Hosted Desktop Infrastructure (HDI) solution for developer environments to meet new security restrictions.
• Install, Configure and support VMware vCloud environment.
• Design and implement storage solutions utilizing multiple NetApp clusters to replace current end of life storage systems.
• Set up and maintain Cisco UCS hardware for virtual environment.
• Install, configure and support mobile cellular and wireless networks to include switches, routers, gateways or functional servers.
• Implement a Mac OSX virtual environment for development testing.
• Set up GUI based deployment server that allows Windows and Linux desktop installations from the same app.

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career-driven, and customer-focused Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Laurel, MD.

You will play a critical role in supporting the enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global, mission-focused workforce. This position supports the high-visibility Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) organization, responsible for the delivery and security of MPO’s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), the foundation for enterprise-wide services. As a Senior Network Engineer/Architect, you will work alongside customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and vendors to support the implementation and compliance of advanced EIT capabilities through Data Center & Compute Services.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead Engineer maintaining datacenters containing multi-domain, cross-platform networks.

• Responsible for evaluating and designing an updated Hosted Desktop Infrastructure (HDI) solution for developer environments to meet new security restrictions.

• Install, Configure and support VMWare vCloud environment

• Design and implement storage solutions utilizing multiple NetApp clusters to replace current end of life storage systems

• Set up and maintain Cisco UCS hardware for virtual environment

• Install, configure and support mobile cellular and wireless networks to include switches, routers, gateway or functional servers, to support requirements of the scope and scale consistent with campus or system wide networks

• Implement a Mac OSX virtual environment for development testing

• Setting up GUI based deployment server that provides administrators with the ability to select between Windows and Linux desktop installations from the same application

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years OR associate’s degree with 15 years OR 20 years of relevant Network experience

• IAM II certification (DoD 8140 required upon start of employment. Acceptable certifications include: CCNA-Security/CySA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/CND/SSCP)

• Working knowledge of VMWare, NetApp, and Firewalls/Switches

• Working knowledge of Linux, Windows and Mac OSX

• Experience with Bash, PowerShell, PowerCLI or API scripting language

• Familiar with STE/STN requirements to meet STIG/Security mandates and the utilization of Nessus Security Center.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Provides advice & guidance to IT peers & subordinates regarding complex network design, monitoring, maintenance and implementation

• Ability to coordinate and integrate the efforts of other IT professional staff

• Based on program and technical requirements, can evaluate and recommend appropriate hardware, software and services solutions.

• Ability to investigate techniques and strategies utilized by other installations, especially higher education institutions, by participating in various professional organizations.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must possess and maintain a current/active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

• Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

• Frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
