Atmos Energy Corporation in Dallas seeks an experienced IT Engineer specializing in enterprise networking, policy design, and data-center architecture. You will lead design, deployment, and troubleshooting of core network services across campus and remote sites.
The role requires Cisco ISE administration, Palo Alto firewalls, VMware NSX, and multi-site VPN expertise, with Leaf-Spine architectures and EVPN/VXLAN.
THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT ATTEMPT TO LIST ALL OF THE DUTIES THAT ARE OR MAY BE PERFORMED IN THIS POSITION The ideal candidate will have experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) administration, policy design, network access control, device authentication, and segmentation strategies. Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) design, deployment, operations, automation, and troubleshooting within enterprise data center environments. Palo Alto Networks Firewalls, including security policy management, NAT, routing, Global Protect VPN, threat prevention, and advanced security services. VMware NSX network virtualization, distributed firewalling, micro-segmentation, and multi-site networking. VMware Aria Operations for Networks (vRNI) administration, network visibility, performance monitoring, flow analytics, troubleshooting, and operational insights. Extensive experience with DMVPN, IPSec VPNs, SSL VPNs, site-to-site VPNs, and other secure remote access and connectivity solutions. Advanced knowledge of Leaf-Spine data center architectures, including modern data center networking, redundancy, high availability, and east-west traffic optimization. Strong routing and switching expertise across Cisco NX-OS and IOS-XE platforms, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting of enterprise and data center networks. Advanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VRFs, EVPN/VXLAN, multicast, policy-based routing, and route redistribution in complex network environments.
Educational/Experience Level Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field and four years of experience in computer programming and operating networks analysis.
Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information on technical concepts to individuals.
Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages, and simple statistical methods.
Requires a very high level of computer skills to use various software packages as well as a familiarity with hardware configuration.
Works in an office environment. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
