We do this by striving to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are-with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways. Moody's is transforming how the world sees risk. As a global leader in ratings and integrated risk assessment, we're advancing AI to move from insight to action- enabling intelligence that not only understands complexity but responds to it. We decode risk to unlock opportunity, helping our clients navigate uncertainty with clarity, speed, and confidence.

We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.

Skills and Competencies
  • Relevant professional experience in catastrophe risk modelling or a related discipline, ideally with exposure to client‑facing or advisory work and a focus on Financial Models and (re)insurance workflows
  • Strong client‑facing communication skills; ability to handle technical or sensitive conversations and adapt style to steer discussions toward positive outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive resolution of complex, varied, and time‑sensitive customer requests, exercising sound judgment on when to escape or reprioritize
  • Proven ability to translate technical and scientific concepts clearly for both technical and non‑technical audiences, verbally, in writing, and in presentations
  • Familiarity with Moody's catastrophe models and associated software (e.g., Risk Modeler) preferred; proficiency with data manipulation tools such as SQL or R is an advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new domains quickly, applying prior knowledge to pivot into new topic areas and broaden modelling expertise over time
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands‑on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI‑powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use
Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, including Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Earth or Climate Sciences (Geology, Geophysics, Seismology, Meteorology), Risk Management, or Insurance

As a Senior Modeling Services Analyst, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor helping clients apply Moody's catastrophe models to real-world risk management challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, handling day‑to‑day support requests across the full range of Moody's models and products, from rapid problem solving to in-depth analysis and interpretation
  • Independently drive successful resolution of complex and varied customer requests, taking ownership of time‑sensitive, high‑priority, or sensitive cases and knowing when to escape or consult
  • Communicate effectively with customers, navigating technical or sensitive conversations to achieve positive outcomes
  • Develop and apply deeper expertise in Financial Models and (re)insurance workflows, while expanding knowledge across other catastrophe modelling perils over time
  • Deliver technical guidance and lead training sessions for clients and internal colleagues
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with Product and Model Development teams to support collaboration and successful client outcomes
  • Support and guide junior team members, contributing to their development and helping foster a high‑performing team culture
  • Leverage client interactions and experience to continuously improve self‑serve materials and documentation for broader customer use
