Job Requirements

Department Description:

At Disney, we’re storytellers. We make the impossible, possible. The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) is a world-class entertainment and technological leader. Walt’s passion was to continuously envision new ways to move audiences around the world—a passion that remains our touchstone in an enterprise that stretches from theme parks, resorts and a cruise line to sports, news, movies and a variety of other businesses. Uniting each endeavor is a commitment to creating and delivering unforgettable experiences — and we’re constantly looking for new ways to enhance these exciting experiences.

The Enterprise Technology mission is to deliver technology solutions that align to business strategies while enabling enterprise efficiency and promoting cross-company collaborative innovation. Our group drives competitive advantage by enhancing our consumer experiences, enabling business growth, and advancing operational excellence.

Team Description:

We are looking for a strategic, technically fluent Sr. Product Manager to drive product vision and execution across emerging technology discovery, AI-powered automation, and intelligence products that help senior and executive leadership navigate Disney's technology landscape. This role sits at the convergence of innovation and enterprise impact: equal parts strategic thinker and hands‑on product leader.

You will lead discovery, roadmap strategy, requirements development, and cross‑functional delivery. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in AI and automation product management, is comfortable engaging directly with senior stakeholders, and has genuine curiosity about the frontiers of emerging technology and what they mean for a large, complex enterprise.

What You’ll Do:

Discovery & Product Delivery

  • Lead discovery sessions, process mapping, and structured analysis to identify high-ROI automation opportunities in support of the technology transformation program.
  • Balance innovation with practical business judgment, prioritizing solutions that deliver measurable value while remaining scalable, maintainable, and cost-effective over time.
  • Distinguish processes that can be automated as‑is from those requiring redesign, and guide engineering teams accordingly.
  • Model end‑to‑end workflows (capturing pain points, exception paths, data dependencies, and human decision inputs) and translate them into clear requirements for engineering and AI/ML teams.
  • Define vision, KPIs, personas, use cases, and user journeys for tools & products, author high‑quality PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Deliver scalable automation solutions that integrate with enterprise systems and architectural patterns, working closely with engineering, AI/ML, and platform partners.

Emerging Tech & Transformation Intelligence Product

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for an internal intelligence platform that gives technology and business leadership visibility into Disney's capability landscape, technology investments, and transformation progress.
  • Translate complex organizational data (capability assessments, technology evaluations, portfolio signals, and benchmarks) into intuitive, executive‑facing product experiences.
  • Define requirements for features such as maturity dashboards, technology radar views, capability mapping, and portfolio analytics.
  • Partner with strategy, data engineering, and architecture teams to federate data sources and surface them through coherent product surfaces.
  • Actively engage senior and executive stakeholders to understand how they consume and act on technology portfolio information; incorporate that feedback into product decisions.

Emerging Tech Scouting & Strategy

  • Stay current on advances in emerging technologies; evaluate their relevance and applicability to Disney's enterprise context.
  • Work closely with the internal teams to de‑risk and validate emerging capabilities before scaling.
  • Synthesize insights from research, conferences, and vendor evaluations into product strategy recommendations for the team and leadership.
  • Contribute to the team's internal tech radar and knowledge base, keeping the organization's emerging tech stance current and actionable.

Product Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor product team members, fostering a culture of user‑centricity, rigorous thinking, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain a clear, prioritized product backlog, informed by user feedback, business strategy, and organizational goals.
  • Establish and track product KPIs (including ROI, cycle‑time reduction, error reduction, executive adoption, and employee satisfaction) using data to guide roadmap evolution.
  • Communicate product strategy, timelines, and impact to technical and non‑technical audiences including senior leadership and cross‑functional partners.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional partnerships to align priorities through structured discussions and clear decision framing.
  • Help drive adoption of new product capabilities and workflows through clear documentation, enablement, and change support.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 10+ years in product management, ideally with experience across both enterprise automation products and executive‑or‑leadership‑facing analytics / intelligence platforms.
  • Proven experience partnering directly with VP-, SVP-, or executive‑level stakeholders to define strategy, prioritize investments, and influence decision‑making.
  • Proven ability to own the full product lifecycle (from discovery and research through launch, measurement, and iteration) on complex, data‑intensive products.
  • Strong technical foundation; able to engage substantively with engineering and AI/ML teams on architecture, data models, and system design tradeoffs.
  • Hands‑on familiarity with generative AI technologies (LLMs, RAG pipelines, prompt engineering) and their practical application in enterprise settings.
  • Demonstrated experience building products or tools that surface data, insights, or recommendations to senior or executive stakeholders.
  • Experience driving organizational adoption of new products, AI capabilities, or workflow changes, including stakeholder engagement, communications, and success measurement.
  • Experience with process analysis, automation, or operational excellence programs, including the ability to translate messy workflows into clear product requirements.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to present strategy, product outcomes, and complex tradeoffs to senior leadership.
  • Comfortable navigating organizational complexity, building cross‑functional alignment, and influencing without direct authority.
  • Strong attention to detail paired with big‑picture strategic thinking; able to zoom in and out fluidly.
  • Familiarity with human‑centered AI design principles and responsible AI practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building or owning portfolio management, capability management, or technology strategy products.
  • Background in enterprise architecture, business capability modeling, or technology taxonomy development.
  • Experience with technology maturity models or benchmarking frameworks.
  • Experience developing technology evaluation frameworks, technology radars, innovation pipelines, or enterprise experimentation programs.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake), BI tools, and/or AI/ML infrastructure.
  • Expertise in driving process improvement or operational transformation initiatives at scale.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a comparable field of study and/or equivalent work experience required.
  • MBA or advanced degree a plus.
