Job summary

Constellation is seeking a Senior Maintenance Manager for the station maintenance department. This role plans, directs, and monitors maintenance activities to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient plant operations in a nuclear setting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science with extensive power plant and supervisory experience, plus familiarity with ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 standards.

Qualifications

• 4 years power plant, 2 years nuclear power plant experience and 1 year of supervisory or managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates in station management to ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant and monitors goals and objectives.
• Oversees maintenance activities during outages and power reductions, including management of maintenance contract personnel.
• Maintains plant structures and facilities in safe condition and oversees maintenance contracts.
• Implements continual assessment programs to assure maintenance excellence site-wide.
• Leads initiatives to improve functional area business plans and staffing strategies.
• Performs additional duties during emergencies or outages as directed.

Primary Purpose Of Position

Plan, direct and monitor activities of the station Maintenance Department that is responsible for performing maintenance efficiently, safely and in accordance with Company policies and State and Federal regulations. Establish policies to assure conformance with regulatory and insurance requirements, Quality guidelines and Constellation Nuclear policies. Works with Station Senior Management team to develop and implement plans that support site and corporate business goals and objectives. The core function will be to oversight of the EMD, IMD, MMD and MMC shops.

Primary Duties And Accountabilities

• Participates in all aspects of station management to ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant, including the development, implementation and performance monitoring of all corporate, site and divisional business goals and objectives.
• Responsible for the execution of all maintenance activities during on-line, forced outages, refuel outages and unplanned power reductions for both internal and external personnel, which includes administration and oversight of all maintenance contract personnel.
• Responsible for the execution of all activities required to maintain the plant structures and facilities in a safe and proper condition through effective use of both internal and external personnel, which includes administration and oversight of all maintenance contracts.
• Responsible for establishing/executing a continual assessment program that assures maintenance excellence in accordance with site, corporate and industry standard, practices and policies.
• Facilitates and manages functional area business plan improvement initiatives, projects, resource sharing opportunities, and staffing strategies through the peer group.
• Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) or related science with 10 years overall experience, which includes 4 years power plant, 2 years nuclear power plant experience and 1 year of supervisory or managerial experience OR Associate's degree in engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) or related science and must meet equivalency as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.1.1.1 & 4.1.1.2) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants" with 12 years overall experience, which includes 4 years power plant, 2 years nuclear power plant experience and 1 year of supervisory or managerial experience
• Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.3.4) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants".
• Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

Preferred Qualifications

• Managerial experience in a Maintenance discipline (EMD, IMD, MMD)
• Current or prior Senior Reactor Operator License or Certification
