Job summary

Rezolute is seeking a Sr Medical Science Liaison to build and maintain expert relationships with key opinion leaders in metabolic and oncology spaces. You will provide scientific exchange and clinical support for the Medical Affairs team, traveling to engage healthcare professionals and advisory boards as needed.

The role reports to the Sr. Medical Director Endocrine Oncology, requiring advanced medical credentials, 5+ years as an MSL, and the ability to operate with integrity on a global stage.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree required with 5+ years as an MSL or similar field role (rare disease focus preferred).
  • Proven ability to translate clinical data into scientific exchange for HCPs and leadership.
  • Strong end-user communication skills, with global travel and field-based interactions.
  • Demonstrated capability to engage KOLs and internal stakeholders ethically and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance professional relationships with medical thought leaders in Metabolic and Oncology areas.

Rezoluteis a late-stage rare disease biopharmaceutical company focused on developing transformative therapies for patients living with severe metabolic and endocrine disorders. Our lead investigational therapy, RZ358 (ersodetug), is a fully human monoclonal antibody in late-stage clinical development for the treatment of congenital andacquiredforms of hyperinsulinism (HI). Rezolute’s mission is to bring hope and meaningful solutions to patients and families affected by rare diseases through scientific innovation, collaboration, and integrity.

The Sr Medical Science Liaison (Sr MSL) are responsible for developing and enhancing professional relationships with medical thought leaders within the metabolic and oncologic space. Sr MSLs provide medical information through scientific exchange, and clinical/scientific support for Rezolute and the Medical Affairs department. This work position requires professionals with established personal and scientific credibility to interact with global thought leaders and academic centers of excellence. The Sr MSL will represent Rezolute to the highest professional and ethical standards, in accordance with company guidelines, policies, and the mission and values of the Medical Affairs organization.

The Sr MSL position reports to Sr. Medical Director Endocrine Oncology

Essential Functions

KOL Development and Field Engagement:

  • Identify,develop, andmaintainpeer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers within relevant Metabolic and Oncology therapeutic areas
  • Identifynew, up and coming thought leaders within target therapeutic areas
  • Develop and execute projects and program material in alignment with evolving launch readiness plans
  • Identifyand communicate key clinical and research issues and insights from KOLs to appropriate departments
  • Capture, analyze, and report field-based medical and scientific insights in a structured and compliant manner to inform Rezolute’s strategic decision-making
  • Participate in medical education for healthcare professionals (HCPs) through virtual/on-site presentations at healthcare institutions, investigator meetings, national/international conferences, advisory boards, or regional meetings
  • Provide scientific support foradditionalactivities such as medical congress staffing, advisory boards, and internal and external training initiatives
  • Respond to unsolicited medical information requests from healthcare professionals ina timely,accurate, and balanced manner
  • SupportotherMedical Affairs activities andresponsibilitiesas assigned

Positions self as Scientific Expert

  • Maintains an up to date and high-level knowledge of the therapy area,Rezoluteproducts, new and emerging areas of research, therapeutic issues and trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Establishes reputation as a trustworthy and knowledgeable source of scientific and medical information for the healthcare community.
  • Supports development ofRezolutepositioning as the scientific authority in Metabolism & Oncology therapeutic space. Attendsappropriate scientificcongresses to stay abreast of developments and to support International, National,Regionaland local KOL activities andRezoluteinterests.
  • Acquiresa broad understanding of local,nationaland international protocols and standards of clinical practice and trends in disease management.
  • Provide clinical presentations and information in response to unsolicited questions (asappropriate)in academic, community, and healthcare provider settings in both group and one-on-one situations
  • Communicates emerging data andthe clinicalexperience with our products through scientific exchange and peer-to-peerinteractionsdiscussing benefits and risks in an objective manner.
  • Provide support for data generation activities (company-sponsored studies, collaboration studies,ISTsandRezolute’sExpanded Access Program)
  • Critically evaluate emerging scientific literature and evidence toprovideevidence-based insights that inform internal strategy and external engagement.
  • Proactivelyidentifyand communicate potential publication opportunitiesarising from scientific exchange, field insightsfrom interaction with external experts, data gaps, andanalysis of the evolving literature

Medical Affairs Planning and Plan Execution

  • Contributes to the development of thelaunchreadiness plans and provides input into strategies and tactics.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of cross-functional processes across research, clinical development, regulatory, and commercial functions.”
  • Works in a collaborative manner with cross-functional colleagues to meet defined strategic imperatives and critical success factors of commercial launch ofRezoluteproduct(s).
  • Interacts with HCPs as a scientific resource to support activities aligned withlaunchreadiness plans including advisory boards, speaker development,data generation andpublicationplansand clinical trials, asappropriate.

  • Experience as a Medical Science Liaison with a strongtrack recordof success is strongly preferred
Required Education and Licenses
  • Advanced medical, clinical,or similar degree (such as MD, PhD, PharmD,,PA or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a MSL or comparable industry or clinical role isrequired, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in raredisease.
  • This position will require field activities, and applicants must be willing to travel 60-75%time
  • Valid driver's license and live within 60 miles ofan airportservicesby at least one major airline.
Description of Physical Demands

ezolute(RZLT) currentlyanticipatesthe base salary fortheSr Medical Science Liaison role could range from $200,000 to $240,000 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s geographical location and their qualifications for the role, including education and experience. This position will also be eligible for an annual performance bonusin accordancewiththe terms of the applicable plan (depending, in part, on company and individual performance and at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis). The compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described based on current market survey data and the qualifications, education,experienceand geographical location of the selected candidate.
