Job summary

Qualifications

• Prepares or oversees mechanical discipline work plans aligned with project scope and budget.
• Reviews mechanical engineering aspects of bid evaluations and awards for approval.
• Coordinates with client representatives to obtain approval of mechanical engineering aspects.

Job Summary

In this role, you will supervise a team of Mechanical personnel, estimate project staffing needs, and schedule and assign work. You will prepare discipline estimates and work plans and review and approve mechanical investigations and studies. Your leadership will drive high quality work plans, successful implementation of mechanical components, team support and training, and project performance.

Major Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, directs, and participates in the day-to-day mechanical engineeringactivity on small to medium sized projects or a portion of a major project with minimal tomoderate complexity within a global business unit utilizing relevant EngineeringDepartment Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel StandardApplication Programs (BSAPs)
• Supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of personnel assigned, estimatesstaffing needs and schedules and assigns work accordingly
• Provides the technical input to meet procurement requirements
• Prepares or oversees the preparation of mechanical discipline estimates and work plan inaccordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, and manages implementationand performance accordingly
• Reviews and makes recommendations of the mechanical engineering aspects of bidevaluations and awards for approval by project engineering
• When directed, coordinates with client representatives to obtain their approval ofmechanical engineering aspects of the work
• Reviews and approves key calculations, licensing evaluations, design documents,supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, and change orders, forthe project to which assigned
• Ensures that assigned mechanical engineering personnel receive appropriate on-the-jobtraining for their professional development
• Assists in the preparation and reviews of project procedures and cost estimates forproposals, forecasts, and change orders

Education And Experience Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
