The Global Engineering Strategy team (GES) is looking for a results-oriented, inventive Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) focused Sr. Mechanical Engineer to drive front end engineering CFD studies, mechanical system selection, and site design strategy for new owned and leased site developments.
In this role you will perform front end site planning related work including site and building CFD modelling, building water use calculations, equipment selection, concept sketches, and more. You will develop site CFD Scopes of Work (SoW) and manage external vendors to deliver studies and reports. As the CFD subject matter expert, you will provide detailed report documents and assist in the design specifications as a part of a team which operates within multiple geographic regions, and be an integral part of our work to change the world through technology.
You will work with the GES project leads to support their site design strategy, as well as other design and site planning partner/stakeholder teams on maters related to site CFD design strategy implementation.
Our CFD focused Sr. Mechanical Engineers understand key problems, propose and analyze multiple solutions to produce the most energy efficient, cost effective, and rapidly scalable site designs achievable. They also provide the vision and rationale for Amazon’s data center mechanical designs to leadership, while ensuring current systems meet performance and operational standards.
Travel will occasionally be necessary but shouldn’t be more than 25%. International support will be part of the job.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
