Summary

The Senior Material Program Manager (Sr. MPM) leads Supply Chain Management integration for large, complex, high-risk, or strategically significant programs.

This role serves as SCM’s senior program-facing lead within IPT and program management structures, ensuring alignment between Planning, Procurement, Supplier Performance, Logistics, Engineering, Finance, and Program Management.

The Sr. MPM drives program‑level material readiness, risk integration, shortage recovery, and supplier execution visibility across the full program lifecycle. This role translates supply chain execution into schedule, cost, and operational impacts to support program decision-making and successful execution.

For EVMS and EVMS‑Lite programs, the Sr. MPM serves as SCM Control Account Manager (CAM), supporting forecasting, variance management, baseline execution, and financial integration activities.

This position may also provide functional leadership, mentorship, and coordination across a small Material Program Management team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead SCM integration activities for complex commercial and/or military programs
  • Serve as SCM lead within program and IPT operating structures
  • Own program‑level material readiness strategy, execution visibility, and risk integration
  • Drive structured management of shortages, supplier constraints, and execution recovery plans
  • Coordinate Planning, Procurement, Supplier Performance, and Logistics execution activities to support program priorities
  • Ensure alignment between SCM execution plans and integrated program schedules
  • Lead SCM risk communication and escalation to program leadership and executives
  • Translate material, supplier, and logistics performance into program schedule and financial impacts
  • Support development of program recovery strategies and execution trade studies
  • Ensure effective integration of engineering releases, configuration changes, and BOM maturity into SCM execution
  • Lead SCM participation in program reviews, readiness reviews, and customer‑facing execution discussions
  • Coordinate closely with Supplier Performance organization regarding supplier escalations, recovery efforts, and performance risks
  • Support forecasting, EAC/ETC development, financial reconciliation, and execution reporting
  • Drive execution discipline, accountability, and operating rhythm across assigned programs
  • Mentor and support development of MPM team members
  • Support development and standardization of SCM program management processes, metrics, and reporting tools; Lead and develop the MPM team - Build capability in program integration, risk management, and execution discipline.
EVMS / CAM Responsibilities
  • Serve as SCM CAM for assigned control accounts
  • Develop and maintain time‑phased material forecasts and execution plans
  • Support baseline planning, forecast updates, and change integration activities
  • Lead SCM variance analysis and corrective action development
  • Ensure SCM execution performance is accurately reflected within EVMS reporting structures
  • Support internal and customer program reviews related to schedule, cost, and material execution

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field required. MBA or Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain, program management, operations, or integrated execution roles
  • Experience leading complex aerospace or defense program execution activities
  • Experience managing shortages, supplier constraints, and material readiness within schedule‑driven environments
  • Experience operating within IPT or matrixed program structures
  • Experience supporting forecasting, EAC/ETC, and program financial integration
  • Experience supporting EVMS or EVMS‑Lite programs preferred
  • Experience leading cross‑functional coordination and recovery activities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in aircraft interiors, completions, or highly customized aerospace programs
  • Familiarity with EVMS, CBSD, or similar structured program management environments
  • Experience supporting multi‑program environments with shared suppliers and resources
Certifications (Preferred)
  • PMP or equivalent program management certification
  • APICS (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification

  • Strong understanding of material readiness, shortage management, and supplier risk integration

Salary & Benefits

The expected WA salary range for this position is between $120,000.00 - $166,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law.
