Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking experienced Industrial Engineers to own the manufacturing processes for an entire family of server products, optimizing layout, material flow, line balance, and standard work across sites.

You will collaborate with ODMs, CMs, and internal AWS hardware and software teams, working to maximize throughput, minimize waste, and balance workloads while keeping safety and cost in focus. Expect 25–50% travel to support global operations.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments.
  • 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering work with server platforms or high-tech hardware.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing process development.

We are looking for Industrial Engineers who are capable of operating in a fast-paced, ever-changing, multi-platform international manufacturing and production environment. Our Industrial Engineering team works closely with our ODMs, CMs, internal AWS hardware and software development teams, and with upstream component vendors to design and optimize the physical production floor to maximize throughput, minimize waste and balance workloads across stations. This role requires the engineer to be a technical contact and take on full ownership of the manufacturing process across an entire family of products. Key job responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the process for an entire family of server/rack products.
  • Design and optimize the physical production floor to maximize throughput, minimize waste, and balance workloads across stations.

Basic Qualifications
  • 6+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or similar related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering work experience with server platforms or on high-tech hardware
  • 5+ years of manufacturing process development
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
  • Experience with the project management of technical projects
  • Experience with managing products across multiple factories at scale

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
