Job summary

Dexcom, Inc. is a leader in continuous glucose monitoring, seeking an Industrial Engineer who will lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

You will facilitate Kaizen events and Value Stream Mapping while collaborating across EHSS, Quality, and Manufacturing Operations. Travel 5-15% is expected as you help optimize production processes and drive world-class manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 5–8 years related experience.
  • Proven track record of leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives with measurable results.
  • Ability to use data to identify opportunities and apply structured problem-solving (PDCA/A3).

Responsibilities

  • Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and performance.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, Rapid Improvement Workshops, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Improve manufacturing flow through line balancing, standardized work, pull systems, and WIP optimization.
  • Partner with production leadership to improve throughput, productivity, and capacity.
  • Implement lean manufacturing tools such as standard work and visual management.
  • Coach teams on PDCA, A3 Thinking, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Collaborate across EHSS, Quality, Manufacturing Ops, Process, Equipment & Industrial Eng, and MES.
  • Instill a mindset of Lean Manufacturing and empower teams to continuously improve.

Where you come in
  • You will lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and operational performance.
  • You will facilitate Kaizen events, Rapid Improvement Workshops, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • You will improve manufacturing flow through line balancing, standardized work, pull systems, and WIP optimization.
  • You will be a partner with production leadership to improve throughput, productivity, and capacity.
  • You will implement lean manufacturing tools (i.e. standard work systems, visual management, Tier Daily Management).
  • Coach teams on Lean tools, Problem Solving methodologies (PDCA, A3 Thinking), and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Collaborate across EHSS, Quality, Manufacturing Operations, Process, Equipment & Industrial Engineering, and MES.
  • You will instill a mindset of Lean Manufacturing, respect for everybody and empower team members around you to continuously improve everyday.

Experience and Education Requirements

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Master’s degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience.
