Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation in Texas (Southlake) seeks a Senior Manager, Cyber Risk Insights to deliver analytics, dashboards, and KRIs that translate risk data into actionable insights for STS leadership and business partners. This role combines independent analysis with collaboration across technology risk, cybersecurity, and oversight teams.

You will build repeatable reporting processes, improve data quality, support governance and risk management standards, and help executive leadership

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technology risk management, cybersecurity, technology operations, data analytics, risk reporting, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of technology risk management principles, risk and control practices, and enterprise technology environments.
• Experience developing, interpreting, or governing performance metrics, risk metrics, Key Risk Indicators, dashboards, or executive-level reporting.
• Working knowledge of technology risk and cybersecurity frameworks, standards, or practices such as NIST, ISO, COBIT, or similar industry guidance.
• Demonstrated ability to assess risk information, evaluate control or process indicators, identify trends or anomalies, and communicate practical implications to stakeholders.
• Experience partnering across business, technology, cybersecurity, risk, and oversight teams, including first and second lines of defense.
• Strong analytical and technical skills, including the ability to investigate data quality issues, determine root causes, and recommend practical improvements.
• Experience with data visualization, analytics, reporting automation, or data preparation tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, Alteryx, or similar platforms.
• Ability to translate business and risk management needs into data, reporting, methodology, and dashboard requirements.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convert complex risk and technical information into clear, concise, audience-appropriate messaging.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and lead working sessions or stakeholder discussions as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytics and reporting for key cybersecurity and technology risks to help stakeholders identify themes, trends, anomalies, emerging risks, and areas requiring further management attention.
• Translate complex risk, control, issue, and operational data into concise, decision-useful insights for STS leadership, process owners, metric owners, and risk consumers.
• Design, implement, and maintain dashboards, Key Risk Indicators, and recurring reporting that support risk visibility, prioritization, and risk-informed decision-making.
• Collect, clean, analyze, and interpret structured and unstructured data to evaluate risk signals, control performance indicators, trends, and potential process gaps.
• Support technology risk management activities by contributing to risk assessments, control monitoring, mitigation insight, and reporting routines aligned to organizational policies and industry practices.
• Partner with technology, cybersecurity, business, and oversight stakeholders to ensure risk insights are integrated into planning, execution, governance, and remediation discussions.
• Provide guidance and support to STS metric owner and consumer communities, including consultation on metric design, interpretation, data quality, methodology, and reporting relevance.
• Develop and maintain procedures, definitions, methodology documentation, and quality expectations for published analytics, dashboards, KRIs, and recurring reporting.
• Leverage analytics to identify opportunities to improve controls, detect potential issues, surface process gaps, and enable more proactive risk management.
• Maintain and enhance the Cyber Risk Insights analytics environment using tools such as SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, and other approved technologies.
• Contribute to the maturation of centralized reporting capabilities in support of STS Risk Services internal processes, TRACC governance routines, RCSA participation, issue management visibility, and executive reporting needs.
• Monitor emerging technology, cybersecurity, regulatory, and risk management developments to inform ongoing enhancement of Cyber Risk Insights capabilities.
• Support audits, compliance reviews, oversight inquiries, and risk governance activities by providing accurate, traceable, and well-documented analytics and reporting support.
• Champion team best practices, reusable reporting standards, data quality discipline, and continuous improvement opportunities as prioritized by management.

The Senior Manager, Cyber Risk Insights is a Level 58 individual contributor within STS Risk Services, aligned to the Technology Risk Management job family and the Technology Risk & Cybersecurity Compliance function within TRACC. This role provides actionable cyber and technology risk insights through metrics, analytics, dashboards, Key Risk Indicators, and structured reporting that help stakeholders identify, understand, prioritize, and respond to risk.

This position partners closely with STS metric owners, risk consumers, technology partners, oversight teams, and peer risk functions to translate risk and control information into clear, decision-useful insights. The role supports the maturation of Cyber Risk Insights by developing repeatable analytics, strengthening reporting procedures, improving data quality and interpretability, and contributing to governance practices that reinforce risk management standards, RCSA participation, control effectiveness awareness, and executive transparency.

The successful candidate will bring strong technology risk management experience, analytical judgment, data storytelling capability, and the ability to work independently while influencing across multiple stakeholder groups. This is an individual contributor role.

• Support automation, workflow improvement, and analytics enhancement opportunities that strengthen scalability, transparency, and repeatability across the function.
• May travel minimally as part of training and ongoing program development and improvement activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with automation, AI-enabled analytics, or advanced reporting approaches as they relate to risk management preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, risk management, cybersecurity, data analytics, or a related discipline, or commensurate industry experience.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or equivalent are a plus.
