Job summary

Pinterest is seeking a Sr. Manager of General & Administrative Strategic Sourcing to lead a broad indirect spend portfolio around $150M annually.

The role partners with Finance, Legal, IT, People, Workplace and other functions to build supplier strategies, develop a high-performing team, and drive value through innovative sourcing practices. You will advance category strategies, negotiate complex agreements and apply AI-driven insights while upholding risk controls.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in strategic sourcing/procurement/category management or related field.
• 4+ years leading and developing people, including coaching and performance management.
• Experience leading strategic sourcing for substantial indirect, G&A, corporate services, professional services or related spend.
• Experience negotiating complex supplier agreements balancing cost, quality, risk and value.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders across functions and aligning priorities.
• Experience using spend data, market intelligence and financial analysis for category strategies.
• Demonstrated experience using AI to accelerate analysis or workflow, with data governance.

Sr. Manager, General & Administrative Strategic Sourcing

Pinterest is seeking a strategic sourcing leader to lead General & Administrative sourcing and manage an approximately $150M annual third‑party spend portfolio. You’ll partner with leaders across Finance, Legal, Trust & Safety, People, IT, Workplace and other corporate functions to create supplier strategies that balance commercial value, risk management, operational excellence and stakeholder experience. You’ll also lead and develop a team of sourcing professionals while helping evolve Pinterest’s sourcing capabilities. This role reports to the Global Head of Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Intelligence.

What you’ll do:

• Lead category strategy and sourcing plans for General & Administrative spend, translating business priorities into multi‑year roadmaps and measurable value plans.
• Lead complex sourcing engagements from requirements definition and market analysis through supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, implementation and supplier performance management.
• Establish commercial strategies and negotiate agreements that address pricing, service levels, performance expectations, risk allocation, governance, renewals and transition planning.
• Develop insights and recommendations using spend analysis, market intelligence, supplier assessments, benchmarks and total‑cost‑of‑ownership analysis.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Trust & Safety, People, IT and Workplace to align sourcing decisions with business needs, financial objectives and risk requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing sourcing team through clear priorities, timely feedback, accountability and growth opportunities.
• Improve sourcing processes, tools, governance, and data practices to make the function more scalable, transparent, and easy for stakeholders to engage.
• Use AI to accelerate analysis, research, documentation and sourcing planning while applying judgment and verification to ensure accuracy, quality and appropriate handling of sensitive information.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, supply management, commercial strategy or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience leading and developing people, including setting expectations, coaching, delivering feedback and managing performance.
• Experience leading strategic sourcing and category management for substantial indirect, General & Administrative, corporate services, professional services, technology or related spend.
• Experience leading complex supplier negotiations and structuring commercial agreements that balance cost, quality, service, risk, flexibility and long‑term business value.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders across functions and aligning competing business, financial, legal and risk priorities.
• Experience using spend data, supplier economics, market intelligence and financial analysis to inform category strategies and commercial decisions.
• Demonstrated experience using AI to accelerate analysis, research or workflow execution, with a clear approach to validating accuracy and quality, protecting sensitive data and maintaining ownership of final decisions and deliverables.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in a technology, platform, SaaS, high‑growth, or complex global enterprise environment.
  • Expertise in one or more G&A categories such as professional services, contingent workforce, HR and benefits, finance, legal, insurance, workplace, facilities, travel, or corporate services.
  • Experience with source‑to‑pay, contract‑lifecycle‑management, RFx, spend‑analytics, supplier‑risk, or supplier‑performance tools.
  • Experience leading procurement transformation, operating‑model design, process improvement, or supplier‑governance programs.
  • MBA, JD, CPSM, CIPS, or a related advanced degree or professional certification.
