Job summary

Molex is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Marketing to transform market, customer, and competitive insights into prioritized plans. Based at our Lisle, IL headquarters, you will partner with Sales/BDM, Product Management, Operations, Finance, and Corporate Strategy to drive growth and customer experience.

You will lead market sizing, scenario forecasting, and competitive analyses, shaping portfolio direction, pricing, and key plays for strategic customers and segments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, industrial/supply chain management or business.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in management consulting, strategy, strategic planning, or similar analytical roles.
  • Market analysis, market sizing, and competitive assessment capability experience.
  • Experience leading cross-functional work and influencing without direct authority.
  • Financial acumen to include business cases, scenario analysis and executive communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead structured analyses on priority market questions and deliver clear recommendations for leadership.
  • Conduct market sizing and scenario forecasts aligned with Corporate Strategy.
  • Develop competitive perspectives and translate implications into actions for OCG.
  • Lead planning for priority segments and strategic customers with growth goals and metrics.
  • Partner with Product Management to link market needs to portfolio direction and roadmap.
  • Build business cases for strategic initiatives with Finance and cross-functional leaders.
  • Support new product commercialization: value proposition, launch readiness inputs, pricing.
  • Develop ecosystem and SI strategy for hyperscaler-driven programs and partner play books.
  • Create concise executive materials for reviews and handoffs to execution owners.

Your Job

Molex is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Marketing to support the Optical Connectivity Group's (OCG) growth and customer experience by turning market, customer, and competitive insight into clear priorities, business cases, and actionable plans in partnership with Sales/BDM, Product Management, Operations, Finance, and Corporate Strategy.

Location: This is an onsite role based at our global headquarters in Lisle, IL.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

What You Will Do
  • Lead structured analyses on priority market/customer questions; deliver clear recommendations and decision support for leadership.
  • Conduct market and segment assessments, including market sizing and scenario forecasts; align assumptions with Corporate Strategy as needed.
  • Develop competitive perspectives and translate implications into actions for OCG (portfolio, positioning, customer approach).
  • Lead planning for priority segments and strategic customers (growth goals, key plays, success measures); support quarterly/annual planning cycles.
  • Partner with Product Management to link market/customer needs to portfolio direction (roadmap implications, gap analysis, investment tradeoffs).
  • Build business cases for strategic initiatives and investments (financial impact, scenarios, risks) with Finance and cross-functional leaders.
  • Support new product commercialization: value proposition/positioning, launch readiness inputs, and pricing recommendations in partnership with the Pricing team (Revenue Operations).
  • Develop ecosystem and SI strategy for hyperscaler-driven programs: prioritize partners, define engagement models, and build partner play business cases with Sales/BDM.
  • Create concise executive materials for reviews and decision forums; ensure clear handoffs to execution owners.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, industrial / supply chain management or business.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in management consulting, strategy, strategic planning, or similar analytical roles.
  • Market analysis, market sizing, and competitive assessment capability experience.
  • Exprience leading cross-functional work and influencing without direct authority.
  • Financial acumen to incluse business cases, scenario analysis and executive communication.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • B2B manufacturing/technology experience; electronics/interconnect a plus.
  • Experience with strategic customers and linking insights to product/portfolio decisions.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; SQL/Python helpful.

Salary

For this role, we anticipate paying $140,000 - $180,000per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
