Job Description: About Mars Snacking AcceleratorAccelerator, a global Division of Mars Snacking, is on the front line of unlocking growth across high-potential categories and brands to fuel what’s next for Snacking. It’s home to both emerging and enduring brands, including KIND, TRÜ FRÜ, NATURE’S BAKERY, RXBAR, EGGO, POP-TARTS, and RICE KRISPIES TREATS. Combining the scale of Mars with the agility of a start-up, our Division has the ambition to accelerate the future of snacking by delivering products consumers love today, discovering category-shaping innovations for tomorrow, and developing entrepreneurial teams whose impact will last for generations. We’re looking for passionate talent who dare to dream big, agile collaborators who talk straight and decide fast, and driven performers with a growth mindset. We’re proudly part of Mars, while also building something boldly different. If this inspires and energizes you, you’ve found the right place where you can do cool things with fun people for one of the biggest snacking companies in the world!

The Opportunity: Why This Role Matters This is more than a reporting role; this is a leadership role with a mandate to build. As the Senior Manager for Small Format Sales Finance, you are the key finance business partner to the sales leadership team, responsible for creating the strategic vision while driving day-to-day results. This is a unique opportunity to own and streamline processes, build a team, and make a tangible impact on our financial and business outcomes. We need a leader who is both a strategic thinker and a hands‑on builder, someone who can see the big picture and is not afraid to dig into the data to make it a reality.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Lead Strategic Planning: Drive the strategic planning process for the Small Format channel, defining investment posture and providing a strong financial lens to guide our long‑term vision.
  • Drive Business Partnership: Act as the primary finance partner to the Sales and Category teams, providing financial visibility, insightful analysis, and data‑driven recommendations to influence key business decisions.
  • Own Financial Management & Analysis: Lead financial modeling, special project work, and "what-if" analyses to guide investment priorities and ensure the delivery of financial targets.
  • Build & Evolve Processes: Take ownership of the end‑to‑end financial processes that support the sales team, continuously streamlining and improving them to drive efficiency and impact.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of finance professionals (2 direct reports), fostering a high‑performance culture.

What We’re Looking For

  • A Strategic Builder: Someone who excels at both high‑level strategic planning and the hands‑on work of building and refining processes from the ground up.
  • A Data-Driven Influencer: The ability to translate complex data into clear insights and use them to confidently guide and, when necessary, challenge business partners.
  • A CPG Finance Pro: Deep experience in CPG and a strong practical understanding of the link between business drivers and the P&L.
  • An Excel Wizard: Advanced proficiency in manipulating large data sets, building complex models, and using functions like VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables is essential.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Significant, progressive experience in a finance role, with a strong preference for CPG and sales finance experience.
  • Systems: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a must. Experience with SAP and other financial planning systems is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Exceptional analytical, decision‑making, and communication skills.
