Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting a Sr. Manager, Safety/PSM, to lead global Safety and Process Safety Management initiatives across Raynham, MA or other sites.

You will drive policy development, regulatory alignment, and continuous improvement of safety programs in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. The role requires strong leadership, deep EH&S expertise, and the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related technical field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS).
• Experience leading investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action programs.
• Experience influencing senior leaders and cross-functional teams to drive safety performance.
• Experience supporting PSM implementation at a site or global level.
• Experience with pharmaceutical, medical device, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Travel: Up to 10-15%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage global Safety and Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with global and local safety and environmental regulations.
• Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Partner with site leadership, engineering, and operations to proactively identify and mitigate safety risks.
• Lead safety audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions; ensure timely closure of findings and corrective actions.
• Analyze safety performance metrics and trends to inform decision-making and drive sustainable improvements.
• Coach, develop, and influence leaders and employees to strengthen safety awareness and accountability.

• Experience supporting PSM implementation at a site or global level
• Familiarity with global EHS management systems and corporate governance models.
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical, medical device, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience leading cultural transformation initiatives related to safety and risk management.
• Prior experience working with regulatory agencies and during inspections or audits.
