Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a Sr Manager, QA Eng at the St. Petersburg, FL site to lead a quality assurance team focused on inspections, testing, and process improvements.

This is a full-time role reporting to QA leadership and requiring strong management skills. The ideal candidate has an Associate's Degree with 7–8 years of experience (or equivalent) and strong Microsoft Office proficiency; a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is preferred.

Essential Functions

• Manages inspections of raw materials, equipment, processes and finished products.
• Implements quality standards and ensures protocols are followed for quality assurance testing models.
• Assists in the design and implementation of policies and procedures for testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or equipment.
• Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.

Required Qualifications

• Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 7-8 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
• Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
• Discipline/Major: Engineering degree preferred

• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
