What We Need

The Senior Manager, Project Management leads the Project Execution Group and owns the full portfolio of core projects across customer sites. Accountable for safe, on-time, on-budget delivery of modifications and upgrades to live, commissioned systems, this leader builds and develops the team, manages executive-level customer relationships, and establishes the playbooks and controls that make retrofit delivery repeatable.

What We Do

The Project Execution team plays a critical role in bringing Symbotic’s automation solutions to life. We oversee projects from planning to system acceptance, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. Acting as the central connection point between technical teams, stakeholders, and customers, we create clarity, drive accountability, and ensure each project delivers measurable value to our clients and to the business.

What You’ll Do
  • Own a portfolio of core Symbotic projects for existing customers end to end, including prioritization, resourcing, scheduling, and cost reporting across concurrent projects.
  • Lead, develop, and manage the performance of Project Managers responsible for delivering projects across the portfolio.
  • Serve as the customer relationship owner for project execution and the primary escalation point for project issues.
  • Maintain cost-control accountability across the portfolio, including project budgets, stage-gate discipline, and standard financial controls.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and other key stakeholders to align scope, schedules, resources, costs, and execution requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Establish and continuously improve project delivery playbooks, safety practices, and execution controls for work performed at existing customer sites.
  • Define clear ownership and coordination with regional execution teams supporting larger-scale or major customer projects.
What You Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of project or program management experience, including delivery within operating industrial, distribution, manufacturing, automation, or similarly complex technical environments.
  • Minimum of 3 years of people leadership experience with responsibility for developing and managing direct reports.
  • Demonstrated ownership of project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and cost performance across complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of concurrent projects and balancing resources, priorities, risks, and customer commitments.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to direct field activities, assess technical risks, and support informed site-level decisions.
  • Experience managing executive-level customer relationships, project escalations, and change control within live operating environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish or scale a new team, function, operating model, or standardized project delivery process.
  • Experience applying stage-gate governance, project controls, and structured risk-management practices.
  • Proficiency with project and enterprise systems such as Smartsheet, SAP, or comparable tools.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • PMP, PgMP, or an equivalent project management credential is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to customer sites.
Our Environment
  • Up to 50% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
  • Employees may be required to use a personal credit card for business travel expenses, which are reimbursed based on the program guidelines.
