Otis Elevator Company is seeking a highly motivated Sr Manager, Major Project Lead to serve as the senior operational leader and Project lead for one of our most strategic customer projects. This role will provide overall leadership for the Houston based project, ensuring successful execution of project commitments while driving service operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and business growth. The Sr Manager, Major Project Lead will maintain a strong onsite presence, serve as the primary point of contact for the Customer’s leadership team, and coordinate cross-functional resources to deliver exceptional results across both project execution and service operations.

On a Typical Day You Will:
  • Serve as the designated Project Lead and primary Otis representative for a large project in Houston.
  • Maintain a daily onsite presence to build customer relationships, support execution, and ensure responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Provide overall leadership and direction for all Project activities, ensuring successful delivery on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with all safety, quality, and contractual requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate project execution across construction, modernization, maintenance, repair, and service operations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of direct reports, providing clear performance expectations and accountability to achieve project, operational, and customer objectives.
  • Partner with field operations teams to drive service performance, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and financial results.
  • Oversee service operations activities, including maintenance, repair, workforce planning, customer issue resolution, and operational performance.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to identify growth opportunities, support customer retention, and drive service and modernization sales initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and internal business partners.
  • Monitor project and service performance metrics, proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership regarding project status, customer satisfaction, operational challenges, and business opportunities.
  • Champion a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
What You Will Need to Be Successful:
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in project management, construction, service operations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex customer projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of project execution, service operations, and customer relationship management.
  • Experience managing financial performance, budgets, forecasts, and operational metrics.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build strong customer partnerships.
  • Strong business acumen with experience supporting sales growth and customer retention strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business management systems.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Requirements:
  • Daily onsite presence at the Houston project location is required.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support project and customer requirements.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
