Job summary

Boot Barn in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced Sr. Manager of HRIS to lead our HR technology systems and data strategy, driving workforce insights and data-driven decision-making while managing a high-performing team.

You will oversee HRIS configuration, analytics, and reporting across compensation, time management, and regulatory reporting, partner with HR, Finance, and Operations, and shape long-term HR data initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field a plus.
  • 6–8 years of experience in HRIS management, people analytics, or HR technology leadership, with exposure to compensation or time management data processes.
  • Hands-on experience with systems like ADP, Workday, Dayforce.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of HR systems to ensure accurate data flow across Partner records, compensation structures, and time-tracking processes.
  • Develop and execute a people analytics strategy to deliver actionable insights that inform talent management, workforce planning, and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems supporting Partner lifecycle processes — from hiring and benefits to compensation adjustments and regulatory reporting.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HRIS Analysts and Coordinators, driving collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Apply statistical analysis and data science principles to uncover workforce trends, forecast needs, and optimize labor-related insights.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel and business intelligence tools to support business decisions, including workforce planning, headcount, and compensation analysis.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to align HR data systems with workforce planning, budget forecasting, and compliance reporting needs.
  • Drive system enhancements, data processes, and analytics initiatives that support long-term organizational and workforce strategy.
  • Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management.

PAY RANGE: $135,000.00 - $145,000.00/yr*

*compensation varies based on geography, skills, experience, and tenure
