Job summary

Comcast seeks a seasoned finance professional for the Network and Connectivity Team in Philadelphia who will deliver financial analysis and operational support to leadership, guiding business planning and risk assessment while influencing strategic growth and profitability.

You will supervise Finance staff, manage accounting processes and ensure GAAP compliance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align plans with corporate objectives and drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced coursework in finance, accounting or related field preferred.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience in corporate finance or business analytics.
• Strong financial modelling, data interpretation and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience mentoring or leading a team of finance professionals.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to support business planning and operational processes across the year.
• Develop and analyse financial and operational reports; highlight risks and opportunities.

Job Description

The Comcast Network and Connectivity Team is responsible for the engineering, design and innovation of the network that delivers Comcast products to our customers. This role will deliver the financial results and business support necessary for our engineering teams to continue to focus on network growth and evolution.

Responsible for providing financial and operational analysis to leadership in support of business unit decision-making, looking for risks and opportunities. Manages accounting transactions and maintenance of books of accounts, ensuring that all financial data is recorded within generally accepted accounting principles consistent with Company policies. Develops financial and operational objectives. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Contributes to functional strategy development. Has a greater degree of impact on business results and typically manages one or more groups of professional employees.

Core Responsibilities

• Partners with leadership to support business planning and operational processes throughout the year. Ensures operational plans are consistent with business objectives.
• Develops financial and operational objectives. Analyzes financial and operational reports and communicates findings and risks; makes suggestions to improve processes.
• Facilitates Finance professionals' ability to support business unit management and other departments with informational requests and special projects.
• Possesses understanding of Company policies and procedures and continually implements and reviews policies and procedures for consistency.
• Trains, supervises and develops Finance staff. Manages the daily activities of the Finance team and makes suggestions to leadership for work performance improvement.
• Makes strategy and operations decisions on the ground floor that directly impact business.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
