Job description

Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the future

As a Senior Manager, Commercial Transformation, you will lead high-impact initiatives that connect strategy, data, and execution to unlock long-term value across the Commercial organization. You will coach and align other leaders, strengthen how teams work together, and turn insight into action so Commercial can deliver on its growth and performance goals.

At Phillips 66, Lead Forward is the way we lead. It guides how leaders show up, make decisions, and support their teams while delivering results in a fast-changing environment. Leaders at this level focus on setting clear direction, building trust, and helping their teams succeed. You’re expected to act with integrity, make timely and thoughtful decisions, and take ownership of outcomes while supporting collaboration across teams. This role is about leading people well, even when priorities change or the path forward isn’t always clear.

What You’ll Do
  • Set the direction for Commercial transformation and execution by defining and owning a portfolio of high-value initiatives that connect strategy, data, and process improvements to long-term growth goals.
  • Design and oversee the analytics and data architecture roadmap for Commercial, ensuring predictive insights, tools, and digital capabilities give front-office teams the information they need to make confident decisions.
  • Monitor performance against Commercial value targets, turning complex data into clear, fact-based insights that help senior leaders understand progress, risks, and trade-offs and make timely, high-quality decisions.
  • Align and deploy resources toward the highest-value Commercial opportunities, simplifying processes and eliminating obstacles so teams across Supply & Trading, Finance, and other partners can execute effectively together.
  • Identify performance gaps, execution risks, and process weaknesses, then lead cross-functional problem solving to navigate ambiguity, adjust plans, and maintain disciplined follow-through on commitments.
  • Lead and develop people leaders and project teams by setting clear expectations, providing real-time coaching and feedback, and building an inclusive, cohesive environment where diverse perspectives are heard and aligned to common goals.
  • Model integrity and accountability in how you prioritize work, manage confidential information, and communicate decisions, earning trust and setting the tone for how transformation and execution are led across Commercial.
  • Manage multiple complex projects, stakeholders, and timelines, using structured project management and quality practices to track milestones, escape issues early, and consistently deliver on agreed outcomes.
What You’ll Bring – Required
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.

  • 3 or more years of experience leading people and/or managing teams.
  • Advanced proficiency with data analysis and business intelligence tools (for example, Excel, Power BI) and comfort working with complex datasets.
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field
  • 12 or more years of experience in Commercial, Supply & Trading, or similar front-office environments, including experience working closely with trading or commercial decision-makers.
  • 5 or more years of experience leading other leaders and/or overseeing medium-sized teams or portfolios of projects.
  • Proven track record leading transformation, process improvement, or technology-enabled change initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced analytics, predictive modeling, or AI/ML solutions that inform commercial or business performance decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build cohesive leadership teams, foster cross-functional collaboration, and guide others through ambiguity while driving clear, data-informed decisions.
