Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Radiology Department Manager to oversee daily operations, staff performance, and adherence to imaging protocols. You will supervise technologists across modalities, coordinate scheduling, and partner with radiologists to uphold high quality exams.

Qualifications

  • Valid ARRT radiography license required and licensure may vary by unit/state.
  • Experience supervising or leading a team preferred.
  • Knowledge of imaging modalities including IR, XR, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine/PET, Ultrasound, Mammography or DXA.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure equipment is in good working condition and coordinate repairs.
  • Perform age-appropriate procedures for adults and geriatric patients.
  • Manage daily operations, scheduling, morale and staff issues; collaborate with Radiologist leaders to update protocols.
  • Maintain time and attendance records and ensure accurate charges and revenue capture.
  • Participate in performance improvements and lead vendor meetings for equipment recommendations.

Job Description:
  • Ensures equipment is in good working condition, contacts appropriate personnel for repairs, and adheres to infection control standards.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills for age-specific factors to perform safe and effective procedures on adult and geriatric patients.
  • Manages daily operations, including scheduling, morale, and personnel issues, and works with Radiologist leaders to update exam protocols.
  • Utilizes computer systems to maintain employee time and attendance records, research patient exams, and ensure proper charges and revenue capture.
  • Meets with vendors and provides equipment recommendation to campus directors regarding modalities within their expertise.
  • Participates in department satisfaction initiatives and utilizes patient service recovery resources when appropriate.
  • Performs timely staff Performance Reviews annually where applicable.
  • Manages budgetary goals and creates action plans for recovery when variances occur.
  • Supervises staff to ensure quality exams and adherence to established protocols, providing counseling when necessary.
  • Communicates clinical information to staff as requested by Radiologists.
  • Supports and assists with data collection for performance improvements and encourages team participation in process improvement initiatives.
  • Meets regularly with the System Director to discuss modality business and actively participates in assigned committees and team meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Field of Study: in Business or Healthcare related field
Work Experience:
  • 1+ supervisory or leadership experience [Preferred]
  • 5+ experience as a X-Ray, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine/PET, mammography, DEXA technologist or Sonographer, or Imaging Nurse [Preferred]

Pay Range:
  • $92,227.20 - $171,537.60
