Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to strict reporting timelines.
  • Prepare USA Corp.'s consolidated financial statements and review/validate subsidiary financial statements (US GAAP / IFRS).
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information to management and headquarters, including reports on operating solar assets for management and related-party investors.
  • Identify, research, and document technical accounting matters, providing accounting support for complex EPC project transactions.
  • Draft, update, and maintain the Company's accounting policies; educate the accounting team on policy application and drive implementation of new or updated IFRS and US GAAP standards.
  • Oversee coordination of the annual audit; proactively resolve non-standard or technical accounting matters with external auditors.
  • Support budget and forecasting activities.
  • Analyze and interpret financial information to support executive decision-making.
  • Review of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and payroll-related activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Partner with the non-U.S. based parent company, subsidiaries, and affiliated companies.
  • Monitor and analyze department workflows to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and resource optimization.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new procedures to enhance departmental workflow.
  • Provide training and mentorship to new and existing staff.
  • Directly supervise accounting staff, including workload allocation, performance management, and career development.
  • Support team goals and priorities, and provide regular coaching and feedback to direct reports.
  • Assist with mobilization logistics including per diem, project assignments, and logistics.
  • Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement.

SUMMARY

The Sr. Manager, Accounting is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting and to develop and maintain accounting practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities. This position reports to the Director of Corporate Finance or another management personnel that the CEO of the Company may designate. This position is hybrid, based out of our Houston, TX office, requiring up to 4 days per week in the office.


Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. This position is expected to travel up to 20%.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Close & Reporting


  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to strict reporting timelines

  • Prepare USA Corp.'s consolidated financial statements and review/validate subsidiary financial statements (US GAAP / IFRS)

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information to management and headquarters, including reports on operating solar assets for management and related-party investors


Technical Accounting & Policy


  • Identify, research, and document technical accounting matters, providing accounting support for complex EPC project transactions — including revenue recognition, percentage-of-completion accounting, contract assets and liabilities, change orders, claims, project cost capitalization, and long-term construction contract accounting

  • Draft, update, and maintain the Company's accounting policies; educate the accounting team on policy application and drive implementation of new or updated IFRS and US GAAP standards


Audit & Compliance


  • Oversee coordination of the annual audit; proactively resolve non-standard or technical accounting matters with external auditors


Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis


  • Support budget and forecasting activities

  • Analyze and interpret financial information to support executive decision-making

  • Review of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and payroll-related activities


Cross-Functional & International Coordination


  • Collaborate with team members to support overall department goals and objectives

  • Partner with the non-U.S. based parent company, subsidiaries, and affiliated companies

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
